Thank you Mr.chairman I am very grateful for this opportunity to be here with you and to share with you some of my thoughts on how we can help build a stronger and safer Libya. I would like to salute and appreciate those over 50,000 whom lost their lives during our revolution in order for us to get the freedom and make us work on and live in a new free Libya There is a story behind our revolution. First and foremost, it is a story of friendship and unity. Ours was a revolution that inspired people around the world to provide unwavering support and commitment to our freedom, even in our darkest hours. The behavior has been exemplary and a lesson to us and to the rest of the world on how important it is to do the right thing. Inside our country Libyans joined together in an unprecedented display of unity.Volunteers from all backgrounds worked, and continue to work tirelessly, to rebuild our country and care for its citizens. With that in mind, we pause to remember every man, woman and child from all corners of Libya who have helped in whatever way they could to promote peace and stability in New Libya. The freedom and opportunities that their children and childrens children will inherit is their legacy, and they should be proud. My key message to you today is that our revolution is not over it is a story that is still being written. Those next few months are a critical part of the transitional period. We fought for the opportunity to make things better and we won that fight. But now we need to focus on how to make the most of the opportunity that each and every one of us has been given. On the anniversary of our revolution, I urged everyone both inside and outside of our country to reflect on the past years events and to ask themselves what they could do to contribute to the next few critical months of transition in Libya. We must remain committed to building a society on the foundations of freedom, democracy, equality, justice and transparency. These are changes that require ongoing courage, patience and unity from all.
