April 28, 2012 Mr.

Brian Nicholson Faith Ministries 5526 State Road 26 East Lafayette, IN 47905 Dear Mr. Nicholson: Thank you for taking the time to direct me to the job description for the Director of Electronic Communications position at Faith Ministries. After reviewing the qualifications, I am confident that I would be able to not only fulfill all of the responsibilities, but to excel in the execution of them. Most importantly, I desire to use the gifts the Lord has given me to edify my fellow believers and expand the Kingdom of Christ. The skill set that the Lord has gifted me with is an ability to communicate clearly, a vision to communicate creatively, and a love for computer technology that weds these two facets in functional felicity. I taught at Maranatha Baptist Bible College for thirteen years. When the Lord led us to a new ministry, Dr. John Brock, the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, wrote, Maranatha values you greatly, both as it relates to past service and as it relates to the future. You have incredible gifts in communication and in creativity. These cannot be taught to the degree that you possess them. The welcome mat is out if you sense God leading you back in this direction. Since leaving Maranatha in 2009 I have continued to teach for Maranatha Online (a Communications class and an Intro to Media Technology class), and in the past six months two different administrators from Maranatha have followed up on the welcome mat offer made when I left. Last November I was contacted to see if I was interested in becoming MBBC's Director of Communications. This March another administrator contacted me to let me know he was "looking for a professor in the area of Digital Media" and was wondering if I would come on board as "the champion for [this new] program, helming the direction, focus and scope of its progress." While appreciative of these offers, I have not felt led of the Lord to return to that ministry. Currently I am serving as the Administrative Assistant/Webmaster at Grace Baptist Church in New Castle, Indiana. Since this is a relatively small work, I have had the opportunity to expand my job description beyond the normal secretarial duties: script writing and set design; photography and photo editing; print design and publishing; videography and video editing; audio recording and editing, and website creation, development, optimization and curation. Finally, while I am proficient or comfortably familiar with much of the Director of Electronic Communications essential responsibilities, there are a few duties listed which I will have to learn how to perform. That is where my experience and strengths will help me bridge the gap. As a lifelong educator, I know how to research, I know how to study, and I love to do both. As a human being created in the image of God, He has endowed me with the following strengths that will, with the Lords help, enable me overcome any obstacle: Achiever: I have a great deal of stamina, work hard, and find great satisfaction in being productive. Maximizer: I focus on strengths as a way to stimulate personal and group excellence. I seek to transform something strong into something superb. Learner: I have a great desire to learn and want to continuously improve. In particular, the process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites me. Self-Assurance: I feel confident in my ability to manage my own life. I possess an inner compass founded on Scriptural truth that gives me confidence that my decisions are right. Focus: I can take a direction, follow through, and make the corrections necessary to stay on track. I prioritize; then act. I trust you will take the time to review my online application packet and that we will have the opportunity of talking further in the near future. Sincerely,

Jeremy Vegter
