Explain briefly. Write the differential equations governing the mechanical rotational systems shown in figure.

Explain the procedure for deriving the transfer function and derive the transfer function of dc servomotor. (a) (b) What are the standard test signals? Give their representations mathematically and graphically. For the servomechanism with open loop transfer function given below, what type of input signal give rise to a constant steady state error and calculate their values: G(s) = 20(s+2)/[s(s+1) (s+3)]. Sketch the root locus for the unity feedback system whose open loop transfer function is G(s) H(s) = K (s2 +6s+25)/[s (s+1) (s+2)]. Obtain the Bode plot for the system with G(s) = 20(0.1s+1)/ [s2 (0.2s+1) (0.02s+1)]. Check the stability of the system by Nyquist criterion G(s) = 100/s(s+1) (s2+2s+2). Obtain transfer functions for lag, lead, lead-lag compensators and draw the frequency response for each one. (a) (b) Explain the significance of a state space analysis.
