Recent events in the nation invariably lead one to ask: Why the constant boasts about the country

healthily practising democracy and aiming to be best democracy in the world when the nation is now getting overwhelmed by barricades of sharp razor wires, threats of arbitrary arrests and non-stop dissemination of very pernicious right-wing propaganda. To be frank, all these boasts constitute very dastard lies & extremely blatant evil falsehoods. The constant and unceasing threats of wanting to pursue and hunt down the Bersih rally participants are really unacceptable. Such threats and actions are similar to the actions of the US authorities, the US police, the US media and the US politicians as they confront the shock of seeing large masses of Occupy demonstrators protesting the big twin evil spectres of re-minted and re-energised anglo-fascism and deadly entrenched capitalism growing so very out of control in the US. The question is are we infatuated with democracy while we are practising sheer shamocracy. Democracy becomes shamocracy when huge amounts of money swirl everywhere to win political support. Shamocracy becomes even more real and apparent when the stronger side takes full control of the mass media and churns out all kinds of false lies, labels and evil accusations. We practise shamocracy when the rapidly shrinking minority becomes the convenient scapegoat for our shortcomings. Shamocracy is the real ruler when ordinary citizens constantly worry about their personal safety and hordes of foreign workers are always needed in order to build more & more prisons to cater to the expected growths in prison populations. Shamocracy is king when our leaders have fat bank accounts and regularly travel and holiday abroad with a huge entourage of staff that requires the services of foreign prostitutes. Shamocracy reigns when we manipulate the destinies of other people in order to fatten ourselves. Shamocracy is ..... very evil.
