Types of Provinces: 1. Water- Only fleets can move to or support these provinces 2. Coastal- Both armies and fleets can move to or support these provinces 3. Inland- Only armies can move to or support these provinces Turn Order: 1. Diplomatic Phase- find out what other nations are doing, make plans, or deceive others. 2. Order Writing Phase- Write out the orders for your units in the appropriate manner How to Write Orders: 1. Hold- Fleet London-Holds= Fleet at London Holds 2. Move- Army Paris-Burgundy= Army at Paris moves to Burgundy 3. Support- Army Paris Supports Army Marseilles-Burgundy= Army at Paris supports the army at Marseilles move to Burgundy a. Support adds 1 strength to the action of the supported unit b. Fleets may not support into inland provinces and armies may not support into water provinces c. You can support a unit that is moving to an province adjacent to the supporting unit d. You can support a unit that is holding if it is adjacent to the supporting unit e. You can support a unit that is convoying if it is adjacent to the supporting unit 4. Convoya. Part one- Army London-Norway= Army at London moves to Norway b. Part two- Fleet North Sea Convoy Army London-Norway= Fleet in the North Sea convoys the army at London to Norway Order Rules to Remember: 1. Units of equal strength attempting to occupy the same province cause all units to remain in their original province 2. One unit not moving can stop a unit or series of units from moving 3. Units cannot trade places without a convoy (Three or more units can rotate) 4. You dislodge a unit if the unit moving into the project has greater strength than the current unit 5. You may cut support by attacking a unit giving support (Unless the attacking unit is from the province that the unit to which it is giving support 6. A unit being dislodged by one province can still cut support in another Retreat and Disband Phase: 1. A dislodged unit must retreat to an adjacent province to which it could normally move a. It may not retreat to the province from which the attacker came or a province left vacant by a standoff 2. A unit that cannot retreat must disband Gaining and Losing Units Phase: 1. After each Fall turn, a unit will count their supply centers 2. For every supply center for which they do not have a unit, they may build a unit in their own home country 3. For every unit for which they do not have a supply center, they must select a unit and disband it
