We are Francisco Caria and Juan Cruz Simone and we are trying to persuade the audience that Lockes

idea the government is subject to mutual consent and joint decisions of the citizens Lockes politically theory defend the doctrine of human liberty and human rights against absolutism. Absolutism means that the king has all the power and the people could not interfere in its decisions. Hobbes idea was an absolut monarch. Men are born free and equal since in a state of nature only natural laws obtained and they knew of legal standards. When a society developed, the members entered into a social contract in which they grated to select officials certain powers set forth in their constitution. Government in therefore collective by nature, it is founded on and always subject to the mutual consent and join at decisions of the citizens. In two treatises Locke argues against the divine right of kings and maintains that all men are free an equal in the state of nature and possess certain natural rights. Lockes political doctrines were incorporated into the American constitution and into the constitution in France in 1871. It was Thomas Jefferson who said of Lockes second treatise it is perfect as far as it goes meaning that it was a blueprint for a working constitution. During his lifetime Locke published most of his political writings anonymously, preferring to keep them reparate from the Essay, which he regarded as his most important work. The difference with Hobbes ideas are that Hobbes believed that a social contract existed between the suber and masses in an effort, by any means necessary, to keep civilization from reverting to its natural state. In the other hand Locke believed that the contract is there for the greater good of society and to uphold the inherit rights of the individuals. To end with this Locke defended the natural law and natural rights. Thank you very much I hope you enjoyed our speech
