How To create / Assign shortcut key to a Command like Hide/Show in Catia V5

Posted by admin on June 7, 2011 1. Go to Tools > customize.

2. Customize window opens.

3. Click on Command -> edit in the leftside > hide/show in the right side box.

4. Then Click Show properties > other.

5. Key window opens, now you can select whatever key you want. I always use Spacebar for this hide/show command. Now press K 5 times and select Kp_ space then close all windows.

Note: You created a shortcut key for the hide/show command. After creating shortcut key you need to close catia and open freshly so it will be stored in Catia settings. Posted under Catia V5 and tagged with command, shortcut Comments (0)

How to import tools from shape design workbench (surface) to partdesign workbench
Posted by admin on June 21, 2011 1. First open partdesign workbench.

2. Then go to Tools > Customize. Click Toolbars in the customize window.

3. Go to New > Shape design workbench > Wireframe and then give ok.

4. Now you imported wireframe tool bar in partdesign workbench. Repeat the 3 rd Step to import more tools From shape design workbench.

5. You can also import from other workbenches which is available in the left side column of New toolbar window.

Note: If you want to keep these tool bars always available in part design workbench, Then You need to close catia and open newly. So it will be saved in Catsettings. Posted under Catia V5 and tagged with import tools Comments (0)
