    Network monitoring is important to continually observe and update the network status at regular interval. It is also serve as network auditing using wardriving within the network service and coverage area. Various freeware for smart devices on various platform such as Android, Symbian, iOS and others are available. By using certain phone number combinations for different devices, the field test or engineering mode can be monitored.

    To access the field test display in iPhone, dial *3001#12345#*. If you are already in a call, just hit "add call", enter the number above and hit call; the phone will go into test mode, but keep your call connected.
