Tom Abshere: I am writing to you to submit my resignation from the Job Specialist Chapter 4 Presidency position. I do so with a heavy heart. The baggage of my upbringing includes a felt obligation to voice my opinion. My aspiration, for when I decided to run for office, was to be the voice of my members, bring fairness and accountability to the local. My faith in the Union and its values was the most important reason I took the position. It was inevitable that during the twelve months in this position I learned more than I expected to learn. In some ways some of what I witness was what led me to decide to resign. I am informing you that I am not only resigning from my position but I am also submitting the required form to become a fee payer. I would disclose my reasons with you for my decision in person if you wish to know why I have decided to make such a decision. I wish the local noting but success going forward and will miss having a voice. Thank you
