    Assignment # 1 (DOS) DATE :- 27/06/2011 SUBMISSION DATE : - 08/07/2011

    1. Create a directory in c:\ drive with your roll no. ( e.g. fybca27)

    2. Create 2 subdirectories in to that & create files with your name. (e.g. copy con <yourname>) in each subdirectory.
    3. Display all the files in current directory pagewise & widthwise 4. Display only directory entries

    5. Display only files in reverse sorted order by date & time.


    6. Display all files starting with 'g' sorted by file size. 7. Display all files having extension txt 8. Clear the screen 9. Change system date as 09- 11-2005 & System time as 16:30 & confirm the same. 10. Display the contents of your file on the screen. 11. Add some more text in your file with the help of EDIT Commnad. 12. Create directory structure as follows.

    13. Create a file containing your address in BCA Directory 14. Write a command to change your current directory to ELE. 15. See the list of all files & directories in widthwise and in pagewise format. 16. Remove SVMIT directory 17. Make 5 different files in BCOM directory having names as following. FyBcom.txt , SyBcom.doc , TyBcom.txt , Mcom1.doc , Mcom2.doc 18. Change Your Current Directory to BCOM.

    19. Display All Files in Current Directory. ( i.e. BCOM ). 20. Hide all the files in BCOM Directory check with dir command & then unhide them. 21. Make 3 files in JP directory which contains 5 states names, 5 country name & 5 district. 22. Make all the files read only having extension .txt in BCA directory. 23. See all files starting with p and only 4 character long. 24. Create a file biodata.doc& type your info. Like Name, Add, Study, Bdate etc. in MCOM dir. 25. Copy the contents of Biodata.doc to Profile.doc . 26. Display the contents of Profile.doc 27. Delete file Biodata.doc 28. Change the DOS Prompt to mkbcafy>. 29. Change the DOS Prompt to the default Prompt.

    30. Create a batch file to first clear the screen & then go directly to MCOM directory from root & display the content of the file on console without displaying a single command on the screen 31 Explain Internal and external command.Discuss any two with examples. 32 which command of dos is used to hide your files?how? 33 what is use of ATTRIB command.explain with example.
