Fringed scarf with berries and leaves in a twist stitch trellis pattern.

STITCH GLOSSARY

Right Twist (RT) K2tog without slipping sts off the LH needle, k next st on LH needle once more, slipping both sts off LH needle tog. Left Twist (LT) Skip the first st on LH needle, with RH needle behind work, k 2nd st tbl without slipping it from LH needle, k2tog tbl, slip both sts from needle tog.
PATTERN STITCH

MATERIALS
3 1oz/50g hanks (each approx 80yd/73m) of Trendsetter Yarns Soleil (cotton with wood beads and cut fabric leaves) in #7332 denim One pair size 8 (5mm needles) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE Size J/8 (5mm) crochet hook (for fringe)

(over an odd number of sts) Row 1 (RS) K1, *yo, RT; rep from * to end. Row 2 P1, *p2tog, p1; rep from * to end. Row 3 LT, *yo, LT; rep from *, end k1. Row 4 P2, *p2tog, p1; rep from *, end p1. Rep rows 1-4 for pattern stitch.
SCARF

With size 8 (5.5mm), cast on 27 sts. K 1 row. Next row (RS) Work row 1 of pattern stitch. Cont in pat until piece measures approx 56"/142cm, end with a WS row. Purl one row. Bind off.
FRINGE

SIZES
One size fits most.

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS
Approximately 6 x 56"/15 x 142cm

Cut 108 10"/25.5cm lengths of yarn. *Holding 2 strands tog, fold in half, making loop. With crochet hook, draw loop through st on cast-on or bound-off edge. Pull ends through loop. Tighten. Rep from * for each stitch on cast-on and bound-off edges. O

GAUGE
18 sts and 22 rows = 4"/10cm over pattern stitch using size 8 (5mm) needles. TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.
