A Bio-Engineered Ergonomic Solution

Our Mission

Maximizing body balance, energy and performance while reducing and eliminating pain through a bioengineered ergonomic solution.

The Need

According to the CDC, 85% of the US Population has biomechanical disease necessitating the utilization of a bio engineered medical grade orthotic. Less than 1% of the US population currently get access to product. Approximately 70% of the world population are diagnosed with an ailment called over-pronation, this effects all load bearing joints and is often overlooked and misunderstood. The causes are complex but simplified using 3DO Imaging.

Research & Development

Research & development began in 1995. Developed by a retired research physician with over 35 years experience in the development of biomechanical imaging systems & ergonomic treatments. 3DO is Weight Bearing Kinematic Imaging Latest 3D weight bearing assessment tool for common and complex disease analysis of the body

What makes 3DO Unique

Legitimate 3D Geometry

Technicians see what you see

3D Static & Dynamic Data

Static & dynamic data

Manufacturing requirements are more stringent than plaster

You can not make a 3D Orthotic Device from a 2D Source.

Too much guess work is required

Analysis of Function is Critical for effective control

Stable Foundation

3DO uses a resting static start point and builds to Neutral using 7 unique 3D sets of data, (Mass, Motion, Pressure, Balance, Symmetry, Gait, 3D Geometry). We then perform a neutral joint build through software.

The foot works differently in static versus dynamic Analysis of dynamic gait, balance, motion, pressure, balance, symmetry and 3D plantar geometry.

Neutral Joint Casting has too many problems, (27 error points) due to Art

What makes 3DO Unique

The analysis of foot and limb function is vital to the manufacturing of a Bio Engineered Devices which provide corrective control (Foot Spine). Static Laser and Plaster casting do not provide adequate solutions for complex cyclic loading (biomechanical and ergonomic function).

How we see anatomy

Frontal - Axial Plane

Frontal Plane

How we see anatomy

Lateral Plane

Midstance Gait = Full Contact Phase 2 (Quadrants 1- 2- 3- 4)

Vertical Calcaneous The foot quickly migrates from shock absorber to stabilizer via wedge locking of the midtarsal joints against the sub talar joint. Oblique and longitudinal MTJ axis is locked.

Foot Function changes from Shock Absorption Rigidity In a precise millisecond during midstance

Equinus Effect on Body Mass

(X)

Effects all 3 body planes Equinus Effect - (2 Types)

HS

Hamstring Equinus (majority in men) Gastrocnemius Equinus (majority in women) Accelerates pronation motion & velocity of joint motion

Anterior Shifting of body mass (Sagittal Plane) (X)

GS

Subtalar and Midtarsal Joints Increase in Plantar fascia and flexor intrinsic trauma Plantar fascia and heel pain syndromes Increase in transverse plane limb rotation Metatarsalgia and Intermetatarsal Neuromas HS = Hamstrings

(X)

Increases metatarsal head pressures

GS = Gastroc/Soleus

Upper Load Mechanics Knee

Knee Mechanics (mechanical hinge) Very vulnerable to transverse plane limb rotation created by foot pronation. Important to consider biomechanical control with knee implants. Knee is also vulnerable to lateral plane pathomechanics such as equinus disease as well as frontal plane conditions such as pelvic tilting secondary to leg shortages

Upper Load Mechanics Hip & Spine

Hip and spinal conditions are effected the majority of time with abnormal cyclic load conditions resulting from pathomechanical diseases in all three body planes.

Manufacturing

Production Imaging Software calculates frontal plane (varus valgus) deformities (Rearfoot & Forefoot) and provides corrections based on the calculations from static & dynamic analysis.

Graphic visual analysis confirms mathematical calculations through software.

Bio-engineered devices are precisely developed via man made stressed induced Polypropylene to ensure correction, and rigidity . This minimizes plastic fatigue providing long lasting anatomical correction despite repetitive cyclic loading.

Endorsements
Endorsed by the US Pentagon Army Health Clinic, VA Hospitals, US Olympic Committee, Physicians and Hospitals worldwide.

The Solution
Treat the cause of disease and not the symptom with a bio-engineered ergonomic devices.

Technology
With 3DO Technology, we can now take extremely accurate 3 dimensional images of the foot, both while standing and walking, to determine exactly what type of biomechanical correction is needed.
