Activities to be performed for market linkage of BCI cotton 1.

Providing details of farmers and Commission agents to the identified ginners. 2. Each Extension Volunteer should be given one register (i.e., Procurement Register). Procurement registers will be maintained by extension volunteers at each village to enter the details of procurement of cotton seed by the qualified LG. 3. EV of each village will give the daily update to Community Manager about the quantity of cotton seed ready for sale. Community manager will make a soft copy of the same. These details of the same would be shared with the Project Coordinator on weekly/biweekly basis. 4. Ginners will be informed about the quantity of the seed cotton available for sale from each village by the qualified LG. The project staffs will be solely responsible persons to provide update information about the seed cotton ready for sale to the ginners. Apart from providing information to ginners, the Project Staff will maintain continuous talk with the ginners through out the procurement season.

Following points should be strictly followed: 1. Do not disclose the total licensed quantity of BC for the particular LG to anybody. Thats strictly confidential and need not be shared with anybody including the farmers and ginners. 2. Precautions should be taken to avoid direct contact of Extension Volunteers with the Ginners as this may be detrimental to the supply chain process of BCI cotton. So every information (like: quantity of seed cotton, when the farmers are ready to sell etc) should be communicated to the ginners only by BCI staff.
