Caught in a Pouring Rain

By Elton Camp The storm comes & the old man cant hide For he has no safe, dry place to get inside Although he has done nothing so very wrong All he can do is slowly and sadly plod along He hopes that the weather will turn more fair He looks to the horizon, but clouds are there Dense darkness & pelting rain in every direction For improvement theres no actual expectation Although his garments are now soaked through Theres really not much about it that he can do He treads carefully and hopes that he wont fall Since it would be useless for any help to call He is already sick and this is making him worse The old man ponders why he deserves this curse
