To plan a visit to a local business enterprise Objectives As a group we wanted to learn more about a local enterprise and focused

Research In class we discussed what enterprise we wanted to visit as a group. As a group we divided into groups to organise where we would go, transport and permission. We used the internet to research different enterprises in our local area. As it was my job to the research I had to email one of the enterprises asking if we could visit there facilities.

Analysis of Research Cadburys do not accept school visits due to hygiene reasons. Bus company based in Santry called OGradys Croke Park replied to say they do accept school visits and wanted details of the school name and class numbers From the sixth year time table the most appropriate time for the visit is a Tuesday afternoon. This is when we have L.C.V.P. and if necessary permission will be sought from teachers of sixth year class before lunch. Permission slips need to include the following, date and time, location of trip, fee cost and authorising signature. A copy of the class role should also be taken to mark attendance A formula thank you letter to thank the business for their time would be appropriate

Actions We have found out a date and the company. We wrote to conform the time and date of the visit. Telephone bus company to order a bus for agreed time and date. Type, print and distribute permission slips. Collect the money and signed permission slips.

Create print and distribute questionnaire to students. Call role on day of visit to ensure everyone is present. Pay money to bus driver on our return. Write thank you letter to the enterprise.

Schedule of Time Leaving the school at 12.30 on Tuesday. Tour will take 2-3 hours long meaning that student will be back in time for buses.
