Russia: Land of the Tsar Russia is the largest country in the worlds as it covers more than seventeen (17)

million square kilometers. This country crosses both Europe and Asia that is why it is sometimes called Eurasia. For its people, Russia is the cradle of their ancestors. It is a nation of many nations inhabited by people of different cultures and heritage. This land was once a mighty empire ruled by various leaders through victory and defeat. It is a chest filled with mysteries that needs to be unraveled in order to fully understood and appreciated. This empire had been a target for those who wished to wield power. Also, its vast lands were ruled by tsars, which affect the lives of the people. The tsars enjoyed an autocratic form of leadership. The word tsar was derived from the Latin word Caesar, which basically means emperor. They took care of their people and with this they were given the right to collect from them support funds in return in terms of gold, silver and the like. However, greed intoxicated princes and their successors, which resulted into gruesome bloodbaths. Brother turned on brother and no one was considered trustworthy. These efforts were caused by their thirst for power and, at the same, time their lust for affluence. It was the time, when humanity had lost its meaning. It was time when everyone became animals in order to stay on top of the food chain. The heated feuds between leaders also gave the invaders the chance to attack and overcome the empires defenses. In relation to film, we could really see semblance with regard to what is happening now and to what happened then. It is an undeniable fact the decisions of our leaders do affect the people governed, directly or indirectly. It can be observed that there is a growing tension between our country, the Philippines, and the sleeping giant, China. This is caused by the claims of sovereignty between the two countries. In spite of the International laws that support our claim, China still stands firm and unscathed in its claim, which is said to be based historical accounts. It may not be too obvious but we know that this misunderstanding could affect our economy, one way or another. Unfortunately, a poor country could not do anything to defend its sovereignty even if it knows that its neighbor have gone overboard. We have learned that a leader needs to be critical and prudent to survive the hostilities. It is also an imperative for leader to be someone reliable and trustworthy so that he would be able to the confidence of his people. On the other hand, we the governed should be diligent in choosing our leaders and be vigilant of what is happening around us so that we may easily spot injustices. We should be courageous in facing these irregularities because if we seek for respect we need to deserve it first.
