(Related to Membership) Q.1 A.1 Who all are eligible to apply for membership of the NEHWO? a) He/ She is i) a serving NTPC Employee including those on NTPC Board or ii) a NTPC employee on deputation/loan to other organizations and joint ventures on a temporary basis and iii) serving employee of fully owned subsidiaries of NTPC. b) He/ She is a spouse of a deceased i) NTPC Employee , ii) NTPC employee on deputation/loan to other organizations and joint ventures on a temporary basis and iii) serving employee of fully owned subsidiaries of NTPC. Provided that the spouse of the deceased NTPC Employee has applied for the membership before the notional date of retirement of the deceased NTPC Employee as per the service laws applicable on the deceased employee immediately preceding his/her death. Q.2 A.2 Q.3 A.3 Q.4. A.4. Does the membership drive open at present? Yes, the membership drive shall remain open between 03.07.2012 to 10.07.2012. What is the amount of membership fee? Does membership fee of `5000 inclusive of Bank charges? Membership fee is `5000 (non-refundable) and Bank charges, if any is payable separately to the Bank. To whom membership fee is to be paid? Membership fee of `5000 (non-refundable) to be paid to NTPC Employees Housing Welfare Organization after filling the attached Pay-in-Slip along with cheque/DD/cash at any bank branches of State Bank of India or Thru RTGS/NEFT What is NEFT? Can I make payment thru NEFT? National Electronic Fund Transfer. Yes membership fee can also be paid thru NEFT. How the membership fee is to be deposited? A specially designed Pay-in-Slip form has been created in consultation with State Bank of India for depositing the membership fee. Any applicant is required to download the Pay-in-Slip form and deposit the same in any branch of State Bank of India. The payment to State Bank of India may be made either thru cheque/DD/cash. In case of payment by cheque/DD payable at State Bank of India, the bank branch will return the applicant's Pay-in-Slip copy immediately after filling journal

All the working employees of NTPC who have not been issued membership certificate till date, may apply for membership. They will be required to login along with their employee ID and date of birth following the link "Membership" < "Apply for membership" online & complete all the mandatory fields in the form along with payment details as received from State Bank of India. After filling the details, click Save button. After saving, a print icon will appeare on the screen, then print the complete form & submit it through courier/speed post/e-mail/fax to NTPC Employees Housing Welfare Organisation (NEHWO) after doing any further correction needed by hand in the printed form. Whether Trainees are eligible to apply? After deliberation it has been decided that Trainees who has been allotted employees Nos. are eligible for becoming member of the NEHWO. They can follow the procedure explained at Q.7 above. Are employees who have superannuated eligible to become a member? The employees who have superannuated from the services of NTPC on nd or after 22 November, 2010 (the date of inclination survey) are eligible to become members. They will be required to submit the attached REGISTRATION FORM FOR EX-EMPLOYEE along with a copy of duly acknowledged SBI Pay-in-slip and copy of Final Release Order as well as Service Certificate from NTPC.

Q10. Is the family member of a deceased NTPC employee eligible to become a member of the NEHWO? A10. Only spouse of the deceased NTPC employee who have deceased on nd or after 22 November, 2010 (the date of inclination survey) is eligible to apply for membership. He/She will be required to submit the REGISTRATION FORM FOR SPOUSE OF DECEASED along with a copy of duly acknowledged Pay-in-slip from any branch of SBI and copy of Final Release Order as well as Service Certificate from NTPC. Q.11. How do I know that my application is submitted successfully? A.11. Once the application is submitted successfully after login the already submitted form will be available for "view/print" only. No field will be available for editing/modification. On re-logging you can view the submitted application form any time and take printout as & when needed.

Q.12. What are the documents required to be submitted in the office of NEHWO after submitting the application online? A.12. A print of application form along with a photocopy of duly acknowledged Pay- in-Slip from State Bank of India is to be submitted in NEHWO office. Ex-employees/spouse of deceased employees are required to submit additional documents for proof of employment. Q.13 I had applied earlier but my name does not appear in the consolidated membership list? A.13 All those applicants whose payments were reconciled have been allotted membership no. If the name of any applicant does not appear in the revised members list then they are required to apply again for membership along with membership fee. Any payment made by them earlier will be returned to them after receipt of request for the same as per Format for refund of application money Q.14. How to correct the individual details which are there by default such as Address, Place of Posting etc.? A14. These details linked with the Employee No. have been picked up from ERP/SAP System. Correction, if any, may be done while filling the membership form and thereafter the updated profile of the applicant will be used in all transactions/correspondences with the applicant. The other fields which are not editable can be corrected by HR Deptt. only. (Note : Updated profile on website www.ntpchousing.com shall not affect their profile on NTPC ERP/SAP). Q15. Can I authorize my family member to make payment and take any decision on my behalf? A15. All payments / correspondence is required to be done by the members only. Q16. Am I eligible to apply for house in NEHWO Project in a city where I am already having a house. A16. Each member is eligible to participate in the Schemes as and when announced by the NEHWO. However, if any specific condition is applied by the land allotting authorities, the same shall be applied to members also. Q17. Payment made for membership on 30.04.2011 but did not get NEFT / UTR number this being Saturday and was not able to Register for membership, am I eligible for membership? th A17. The membership has closed on 30 April, 2011 and those who had made the payment but could not register before expiry were required to submit their registration form in hard copy alongwith payment details latest by 28.9.2011 in the office of NEHWO. Those who had submitted the details & their payment was re-conciled have been allotted membership no.

Q18. Those who have made inadvertent/excess payment in the account of NEHWO, how they can get back the excess payment. A18. They are required to write letter as per Format for refund of Excess money to NEHWO office along with proof of payment. After reconciliation payment will be refunded back thru cheque.

Dear Sir, I would like to inform you that I had applied for membership during the month of April'2011 and made the payment of Rs.5000/- vide RTGS/NEFT/DD/Cheque No._____________ dt.__________, payable at_________________(Name of Bank) & Branch__________________ or in cash. But due to non-reconciliation of payment, membership certificate has not been issued in my name. Accordingly, I am submitting this letter for refund of my application money. The refund cheque may be issued in my name (A/c No._________________). Copy of bank statement/cash deposit slip showing the transaction for payment towards membership fee is enclosed for your ready reference. Please do the needful at the earliest. Dear Sir, I would like to inform you that I had inadvertently made a payment of `____________vide RTGS/NEFT/DD/Cheque No._____________ dt.__________, payable at______________(Name of Bank) & Branch__________________ on _____________ to NEHWO Account No._________ at State Bank of Hyderabad. I would like that this payment be refunded to me. Accordingly, I am submitting this letter for refund of excess money. The refund cheque may be issued in my name (A/c No._________________). Copy of bank statement showing the transaction for payment is enclosed for your ready reference. Please do the needful at the earliest.
