LESSON PLAN IN SCIENCE AND HEALTH 5 Integration with Character Education I. Objectives At the end of 60 minutes lesson the learners are expected to do the following with at least 75% level of accuracy:

Cognitive: Classify animals according to the food they eat as carnivorous, herbivorous and omnivores. Psychomotor: Group the animals according to the food they eat. Affective: Participate actively during the class discussion and group activity. II. Subject Matter: Animals according to the Food They eat (Herbivorous, Carnivorous, Omnivores) Ref: BEC 2, Into the Future :Science and Heath 5 pages 52-54, google.com Materials: Pictures, pocket charts, charts Value: Love and concern for animals III. Learning Experiences: A. Preparatory Activities: Greetings and Song 1. Recall Game Puzzles) Arrange the puzzle, name the animal and tell to the class how the animal get its food. Pictures 2. Motivation: Do you know how animals are being grouped/classified? If no, this morning we have a special visitor from Veterinary Office to give us more information about how animals are being grouped/classified. B. Developmental activities: 1. Presentation (Selected pupils will act as Veterinarian Doctor) Topic: Animals according to the food they eat.
