ROOTS OF BETRAYAL : THE ETHICS OF CHRISTINE QUINN

Louis Flores
About the Book. Roots of Betrayal : The Ethics of Christine Quinn is being published in four volumes as a series of political pamphlets. It provides an overview of New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn's political ethics. Early in her career, Quinn started out in politics as a housing activist. She came out as a lesbian, branded herself as an advocate for LGBT rights, and she pushed herself up into ever-higher levels of government, until she would work alongside the billionaire New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Along the way, Quinn developed a political doctrine that was situational, inconsistent, and prone to allegations of corruption. Roots of Betrayal reviews Quinns arc in New York City politics. In June, Quinn published her memoirs as a slick public relations stunt during the race for mayor of New York City in 2013. Roots of Betrayal tells the stories that Quinn will leave out of her fairytale autobiography such as the controversial overturning of term limits, the way that Quinn has used discretionary budgetary allocations to subvert the democratic process in the City Council, and the many examples of how Quinn has betrayed Progressive ideals, her constituents, and even the LGBT community. About the Author. Louis Flores is an LGBT activist and blogger. He began blogging about New York City politics in 2009, after Quinn overturned term limits. His activism and blogs have been covered by The New York Times, The Advocate, The New York Daily News, and Ttu. About Promotion and Marketing. The author plans to piggyback on the publicity surrounding Quinns political campaign, in order to publicize Roots of Betrayal. City Hall journalists routinely seek new insights to give context to the high profile mayoral race, and Roots of Betrayal provides the kind of analysis that will make a difference in this years mayoral election.
