Assignment 1-2 Commitment and Perseverance What types of pressure do you think the CEO had to overcome to persevere

for 4 years? The types of pressure did the CEO had to overcome to persevere for 4 years are: 1)time pressure- since they have a lot of errors and that errors must be corrected as soon as possible so they need to manage their time to be productive. 2) Financial-they need enough money to correct their errors. 3) Productprocess of manufacturing something that it has the quality that will suit to their customer. 4) Human resource-involves work force planning, acquisition, and development.5) Profit- money that you gain from customer when your product is sold. Reaction: They identified their errors and everyone agrees that profitable fleet companies with devoted customers and dynamic employees are good things. They are willing to correct 100% of its errors whether it is too difficult for them but still they keep trying to do it and do not give up. But not everyone wants to endure the pain of change, much less admit that, after years of effort, there still may be as much to be done as has been done. In addition, they have lack of commitment and perseverance towards their work. The errors identified can be used for improving the processes that resulted in them. Then, if they correct

all the errors in the past there is a possibility that their company will succeed and be competent with others. If the unidentified errors cannot be correct as soon as possible then it will cause them sure downfall. Conclusion: I therefore conclude that, Ben Camp, CEO of Hub. Inc., had a major problem in resolving the errors that they have done in the recent years of their operations. In addition, in resolving the errors they studied various gurus and fashioned its own program and that program requires among other things with great attention to detail. It demands commitment and perseverance. Recommendation: I suggest that CEO must know everything and he must think critically before they do certain action. CEO also must responsible for the overall management of the organization and establishes operating policies and guides the organizations interaction with its environment. They must consider the 4 basic management functions: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling in order for them to have a well-develop and intellect employee in the company. In addition, to overcome the pressure that they had to persevere for 4

years they must apply some steps in bulk of quality management work: corporate planning, requirements elicitation, product, project and quality planning, developing the product with QC and QA to ensure success, managing customer expectation and change request and delivering the product with quality. Furthermore, quality management work has been focused also in applying the plan, do, check and act (PDCA). Through applying this process they strengthen their commitment and perseverance for the companies development. Finally, it measures the quantity and quality of output relative to cost input. It involves two common performance measures: effectiveness and efficiency that helps the company generate high cost quality of production.
