The western part of axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level continues to run close to foot hills of Himalayas and eastern part passes through Hardoi, Fursatganj, Gazipur, Ranchi, Balasore and thence to eastcentralBayofBengal. TheoffshoretroughatmeansealevelfromKonkancoasttoKarnatakacoastpersists. AnupperaircycloniccirculationhasformedovernorthBayofBengalbetween2.1to5.8kmabovemeansea level.Underitsinfluence,alowpressureareamaydevelopovernorthwestBayofBengalduringnext12days.
