Berton,'Langer,'and'Swearingen'conducted'research'on'Soviet'inuence'on'
Japanese'leVFwing'movements.'The'books'they'acquired'for'their'research'
eventually'became'the'nucleus'of'the'USC'Japanese'Collec?on.'
