GENERAL INSTRUCTION
PAY BAND :
ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL BENEFITS :
In addition to the normal pay and allowances as
admi ssi bl e under Rul es, the empl oyees of the
Department of Atomic Energy are entitled to attractive
financial benefits under various incentive schemes.
These benefits are provided in view of special S&T
status of the Department and revi ewed by the
Government from time to time.
AGE RELAXATION :
Relaxation upto 5 years against reserved posts for
SCs/STs.
Relaxation upto 3 years against reserved posts for
OBCs.
Relaxation for Ex-servicemen will be provided as per
rules.
Age relaxation as admissible under rules will be
extended to persons with physical disabilities. (The
candidates applying against the reserved vacancies
with Orthopaedically Handicapped should have a
minimum of 40 percent disability (moderate) certified
by the appropriate Medical Board).
Departmental candidates who have rendered not less
than 03 years continuous and regular services in the
same line or allied cadre as on 01.07.2012 are eligible
for relaxation in upper age limit as per Government
orders.
Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years shall be
admissible to persons who had ordinarily been
domiciled in Kashmir division of the state of Jammu &
Kashmir during the period from 1st day of January
1980 to 31st day of December, 1989 provided that the
relaxation in the upper age limit for appearing at any
examination shall be subject to the maximum number
of chances permissible under the relevant rules.
Certificate regarding proof of residence - Any person
intending to avail of this relaxation of age limit
admissible under rule 3 (e) shall submit a certificate
from:
the district magistrate in the Kashmir division within
whose jurisdiction he had ordinarily resided; or
any other authority designated in this behalf by the
government of Jammu & Kashmir to the effect that he
had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir division
of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period
from the 1st day of January, 1980 to the 31st day of
December, 1989.
Relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 Years shall be
admissible to children / Family members of those who
died in the 1984 Riots. Proof of the effect that they have
been affected by 1984 Riots should be furnished.
Note : Age relaxation will be admissible only for the
posts which fall in the Reserved Category.
TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE :
For SO/C (Medical-Gen. Medicine), TO/C & Station
Officer/A : The Outstation Candidates called for
Interview will be eligible for to and fro rail fare for IInd
Class or actual fare by the shortest route whichever is
less, subject to the production of tickets / ticket
numbers etc.
For Post Nos. 03-04 and 06-18 : Only outstation SC/
ST Candidates called for Written Examination/ Interview
will be eligible for to and fro rail fare for IInd Class or
actual fare (GENERAL CLASS) by the shortest route
whichever is less, subject to the production of tickets/
ticket numbers etc. However, Traveling Allowance is
not admissible to those SC/ST candidates who are
already in Central/State Government services,
Central/State Government Corporation, Public
Undertakings, Local Government Institutions and
Panchayats.
Candidates selected against this advertisement are
likely to be posted in Heavy Water Board / any of the
Heavy Water Plants, but are also liable to serve in any
part of India and in any constituent units of the
Department of Atomic Energy as may be required in
public interest.
The number of vacancies and places of posting shown
above are provisional and liable to vary. In case the
vacancy position for any category is reduced or even
made nil, HWB is not liable to compensate the
applicant for consequential damage/loss.
The nature of duties to be performed by the above
categories may involve working in round the clock shift
duties, in operational plants located at various parts
of the country.
The candidates appointed will be governed by New
Contributory Pension Scheme.
While all candidates irrespective of community/group
will be considered against UR vacancies, against
community/ group quota vacancies, only candidates
bel ongi ng to that communi ty / group wi l l be
considered. For this purpose, SC/ST/OBC candidates
should furnish Caste Certificate from Competent
Authorities. In case of OBC, the certificate should
specially indicate that the candidate does not belong
to the persons/sections (creamy layer) mentioned in
Col.3 of the Schedule of the Government of India,
Department of Personnel and Training OM No.36012/
22/93-Estt(SCT) dated 08.09.1993 and modified vide
GOI DoPT OM No. 36033/3/2004-Estt. (Res) dated
09.03.2004 & OM No. 36033/3/2004-Estt (Res) dated
14.10.2008 and the certificate should be in the
prescribed form with validity period of one year
circulated by Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances
and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training,
Government of India.
The candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC should clearly
indicate the same in the application (even when
applying for UR vacancy) and should attach proof of
the same in the specified format failing which they will
be treated as unreserved and subsequentl y
representations for change of community status will
not be entertained.
In case the response is more, the screening will be
restricted to those with higher percentage of marks in
the requisite qualification and / or to more no. of years
of relevant experience required. The decision of Heavy
Water Board will be final and binding.
Before applying for the post, the candidates should
ensure that he/she fulfill all the eligibility norms. The
Masters Degree of a recognised University in any
subject with Hindi and English as main subject at

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP THE APPLICATION
II. The Commission uses standard application form for all its
examinations. Therefore, please read the instructions given
in the Notice of Examination and also given below carefully
before filling up the application form, in your own interest.
III. Use only blue/black ball pen to write in the boxes, i.e.,
IIII. Instructions have been given for most items in the application
itself which should be gone through carefully before filling
up the boxes. For items for which instructions are not
available, further instructions given below may be gone
through carefully.
IIV. Please go through the instructions given below for filling up
each item numbered in the application form:-

Procedure for Online Submission of Application

The online submission of the application may be made at
website www.ssconline.nic.in. and www.ssconline 2.gov.in
Instructions are available at the site. Candidate should read the
instructions carefully before making any entry or selecting options.
Candidate should supply all the required details while filling up the
online form. Mandatory fields are marked with * (asterisk) sign.
The filling of online application contains two parts :
Part I Registration
Part II Registration
1. In Part I registration, candidate will have to fill basic
information. On submission of details, candidate shall be
prompted to check the details and make any correction in
the application.
2. Candidate may press I agree button after declaration once
he/she finds that information supplied by him/her is in order
and no correction is required. Thereafter no correction/
modification etc. shall be allowed.
3. Then a page with Registration No. shall be generated. Note
down registration number or take out the print out of the
page. The application procedure is incomplete without part II
registration. Part II registration requires filling of payment
details, uploading of photograph and scanned signature.
Candidates may note that the Registration number given by
the Commission and Transaction ID of the Bank should be
properly entered in the relevant space, failing which it will
not be possible to link the payment with Part I registration.
On-line application will be complete only if scanned signature
and photo are uploaded as per instructions.
4. Candidates who have to pay application fee can pay fee
online through net banking, or cash through SBI bank challan.
5. To pay fee in cash, candidate can take printout of challan
generated online after completion of part I registration.
Deposit the requisite fee in pay branch of State Bank of India
and then continue with the Part II registration.
6. Those who want to pay online through net banking, can go
directly to part II registration after completion of part I.
Candidate will have to supply registration number and date
of birth to continue to Part II registration.
7. As approval of the Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of
Finance has not been received for use of credit cards / debit
cards, payment through these modes will not be available.
8. Those who are exempted from payment of fee can skip
steps 4 to 7.
9. Then upload a recently taken scanned photograph in 8 - bit
grayscale JPG format. The digital size of the file must be of
resolution 100 pixel widths by 120 pixels height.
10. Then upload your scanned signature in 8 - bit grayscale JPG
format. The digital size of the file must be of resolution 140
pixel width by 60 pixels height.
11. Candidates are advised to go through the
instructions carefully before filling up the application
form.
12. Request for change/correction in any particulars in the
Application Form shall not be entertained under any
circumstances. The Staff Selection Commission will
not be responsible for any consequences arising
out of non acceptance of any correction/addition/
deletion in any particular filled in application form
