GMI provides graphic measurement services to the retail and consumer product industries.

Our expertise is focused on process control and delivering brand consistency through facility certification and production run sample measurement. We work with our clients and their suppliers to establish processes that effectively manage production, enhance product quality and build brand equity. With our headquarters based in the US, and other office locations in China, Costa Rica, Ireland and India, we are looking for the right candidate to join our HK team for the following position:

Accounting Manager
General Purpose Manage our Asia accounting operations as well as be the liaison to the accounting office headquarters located in the US. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Supervise the Shenzhen accounting team and operations Prepare daily bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable for two Hong Kong entities Coordinate all payroll and benefit tracking and payments with the third party administrators Manage Expense Reports for the Hong Kong office entity to be reported to the US if applicable Prepare month-end reconciliations and close for the Hong Kong entities Prepare intercompany invoicing related to transfer pricing Consolidate the Shenzhen monthly financials with the Hong Kong Financials to be reported to the US accounting team Supervise all cash transactions in the Asia operations Evaluate all accounting processes currently in place in the Asia operations and assist the US team in implementing internal controls Assist the US team with all tax correspondence with the tax authorities in Hong Kong and Shenzhen Assist in the preparation of year-end audits and tax preparation (with an outsourced accounting firm) and the US team Assist the Shenzhen accounting team with any accounting issues that may arise Work with the US accounting team on miscellaneous projects Other administrative and accounting projects and tasks as assigned Requirements Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) Bachelors Degree in Accounting OR Mid-level Public Accountant Certification in China

Minimum 3 years of Accounting experience in China, international accounting experience a plus Extremely detail oriented Technical competence Motivated, goal oriented self-starter Works well in a team environment Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction
