It is mandated by the CNU-SSG Constitution to see to it that student's rights and welfare are protected, from academic freedom to the right to a conducive educational environment. The Tribunal is composed of six (6) student representatives, headed by the Chief Justice, a Secretary General and three Commissioners, all of which passed the scrutiny of the Student Congress' Commission on Appointments (COA) on the grounds of proven competence, integrity, probity and independence. The Student Tribunal also sits as members of the Disciplinary Board and other pertinent committees of the University. It also recommends to the Disciplinary Board appropriate sanctions for any student found guilty of any offense as provided for in the Student Handbook and in the Dep-ed Manual of Regulations for School & Universities. Furthermore, it also decides on the constitutionality of any action as committed by the different entities of the Student Government. Moreover, it is also tasked to review, revise, reverse, modify or affirm any agreement, rules or regulations that is in question. Should there be complaints against members of the Student Government or against University personnel or offices, these are filed with the ST for appropriate actions through its Office of the Student Affairs. Information concerning the authority, jurisdiction, duties, requirements, and responsibilities of the Chief Justice, the Secretary General and the Commissioners are found in the CNU-SSG Constitution.
