INVITATION FOR PRE QUALIFICATION (Short Term Notification) (Through e Procurement only) 1. The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) intends to pre qualify Eligible Contractors for the Work of Construction of Signal Free Corridor along Identified Stretches of Outer Ring Road (from Mysore Road Junction to Central Silk Board Junction) in Bangalore City in the form enclosed in the Pre Qualification Document. 2. Pre-qualification will be conducted through pre-qualification procedures specified in Paragraph 27 of the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Rules 2000, and is open to all eligible tenderers. 3. Filled Pre Qualification Document shall be submitted electronically only (online through e Procurement Portal) within the Date and Time published in e Procurement Portal. The Document will be opened at the Prescribed Time and Date as mentioned in the e Procurement Portal in the presence of the Tenderers who wish to attend at the Office of the Executive Engineer (Road Infrastructure), N. R. Square, Bangalore 560 002.

After login to Contractors, please scroll down to the right side bottom to see List of Tenders, please click there to find the Details of Pre Qualification Tenders and download copy of the Pre Qualification Document. The Pre Qualification Document can be downloaded in the Portal as per the prescribed Date and Time published in the Portal. Interested Tenderers who wish to participate shall remit online Transaction Fee for the Pre Qualification Document after registering in the Portal. The Transaction Fee is non refundable. 5. Eligibility Criteria: a. Should have involved in the Civil Engineering Construction Works for five years or more in the Role of Prime Contractor, Management Contractor, Partner in Joint Venture or Sub Contractor. b. Should have satisfactorily executed as a Prime Contractor / Management Contractor / proportionately as Member of a Joint Venture / Sub Contractor in the last five Financial Years (2007 08, 2008 09, 2009 10, 2010 11 and 2011 12) at least one Project of similar nature (not less than 90% of Contract Value) consisting of Construction of Grade Separator and the same shall have been opened to Traffic of Project Value not less than Rs. 9200.00 Lakh. In support of this, the Tenderer shall furnish a Work Completion Certificate duly certified by the Competent Authority along with the Pre Qualification Document. The Work Completion Certificate certified from the Competent Authority not below the Rank of the Executive Engineer shall be uploaded. The Work Completion Certificate shall mention the Nature of Work, Items of Work executed, Date of Commencement and Date of Completion of the Work. Further, the Value of the Completed Works of the Previous Years shall be given a Weightage of 10% each per year to bring it to the Price Level of 2012 13. c. Should have achieved Average Annual Financial Turnover of Rs. 15300.00 Lakh in the last five Financial Years (2007 08, 2008 09, 2009 10, 2010 11 and 2011 12) in all classes of Civil Engineering Construction Work only. Further, the Value of the Financial Turnover of the Previous Years shall be given a Weightage of 10% each per year to bring them to the Price Level of 2012 13. In support of this, the Tenderer shall furnish Audited Balance Sheets of the last five Financial Years (2007 08, 2008 09, 2009 10, 2010 11 and 2011 12) by mentioning the Turnover from Civil Engineering Construction Business exclusively. d. The Tenderer shall have Liquid Assets and / or Availability of Credit Facilities in the form of Credit Lines / Letter of Credit / Certificates from a Nationalized Bank for not less than Rs. 4000.00 Lakh for meeting the Finance Request of the Project.

Date and Time of Pre Bid Meeting 16 08 2012 at 1600 hrs. d. Last Date for uploading the Filled Pre Qualification Document 30 08 2012 upto 1600 hrs. e. Date of Opening of Pre Qualification Document 03 09 2012 at 1130 hrs. Note: I. The BBMP may, in its absolute discretion but without being under any Obligation to do so, update, amend or supplement the Information, Assessment or Assumptions contained in this Pre Qualification Document. II. The BBMP reserves the Right t o reject all or any of the Applications or Bids without assigning any Reasons whatsoever. No Joint Venture / Consortium are permissible. All the Participants shall produce all the Original Documents for Verification whenever necessary.
