verage, ordinary, everyday people can live in a house. It takes a special kind of person to live in a home. Wood, nails, a tool box and some brains combined together create a box-like structure you could call a house. To create the sense of a home, you need more than just those elements. You add some love and special touches to create warmth, security, comfort and a sense of peace. What makes a house a home you ask? Waking up to the smell of freshly brewed French Vanilla roast coffee and perfectly cooked buttermilk pancakes thats a home. Roasting your toes by the warm crackle of the wooden stove thats a home. The buzzing of a black and yellow bumble bee next to the purple lilies that have been freshly planted in the front yard thats a

home. Laying in the grass and running your toes through the freshly mowed lawn thats a home. Being able to kick back and listen to the country hits of 2012 without a care in the world thats a home. When laughter fills the air, you know that a special kind of family lives in a home. Home might not always be a box-like structure built to be tough; but its your sanctuary. Singing at the top of your lungs because no one can hear thats a home. That safe place where you find contentment and happiness. Walls are built to keep the weather out; a lock and key are put on doors to keep things safe and secure, and those are things that give you a sense of inner peace. But wait a few finishing touches will complete your home.

Home is where the heart is. Whatever type of heart it may be, and wherever your home resides, love is what fills a house to make it a home. A family gathering with perfectly cooked turkey, and creamy mashed potatoes for everyone to share thats a home. No one can build a home made out of stone; the beating of one, two or even four hearts all in unison makes a structure become a home. Sharing that feeling of a pounding heart and joy that fills the air thats a home. After all of these components have been brought together, you have prepared one fine place you can call home. A house is truly empty, but a home is filled with love, comfort and laughter. That warm feeling you get when you walk in a door and know that is exactly where you belong thats a home.
