Spell Resistance: No This spell is also available to Assassins. To them it is a Level 1 spell. --A number of fine glowing motes gather in a cloud above the head of the caster and then speed off in various directions to strike at living targets around the caster. Where they strike they seem to burst with a tiny pop-This spell is similar to Magic Missile in that its damage potential is 1d4+1 for 1st level (which is only available to Assassins), 2d4+2 for 3rd level, 3d4+3 for 5th level, 4d4+4 for 7th level to a maximum of 5d4+5 at 9th level. When the spell is cast each roll of 1d4+1 creates an equal amount of little beads of force, which can be launched in groups at various targets. Each group of beads then unerringly strikes its designated target, each bead causing 1 point of damage. As with Magic Missile designated targets must have an animating force and must be no more than 15 apart. Eg, cast by a fifth level Wizard, the spell calls 3x 1d4+1 tiny beads into existance. The caster then rolls 1d4+1 for the number of beads in the first group, rolls another 1d4+1 for the number of beads in the second group and finally yet another 1d4+1 for the number of beads in the third group. The caster can now opt to target the same creature with all three groups of beads or upto three different targets, as long as theyre no more than 15 feet apart from the closest target. The point of this spell is that it imposes a Concentration check for any target who is casting a spell of their own, per group! Thus at its most extreme, a single target could be forced to make five Concetration checks DC (15 + damage), the likelihood that one of them will fail increasing accordingly. A special bonus which the creator of the spell only realized later was that each bead counts as an independent magic missile against abjurations which can absorb a fixed number of magic missiles. Thus at its most extreme, this spell could deplete such protection of 25 charges! This is what made it so popular with the Assassins that got to know it.
