History: The Aakenn class Freighter used a single nacelle configuration. This proved to somewhat of an issue at first however several modifications were carried out to improve warp field stability. The Aakenn is sometimes known as a Mark Iv freighter or as a mark IV stardrive. Notes: The SS Odin was an Aakenn class.

As part of the ongoing Far stars project hundreds of these vessels were sold to many foreign governments. These vessels can be seen acting as cargo vessels and for some of the recently warp capable races they serve as system defence ships. Notes: The above stats are for the armed merchant man variant or Q Ship. The civilian version is completely unarmed. 2358 History: The Angosian Transport vessels were the mainstay of the Angosian commerce and exploration division. These vessels were used by the Angosian police force for transporting prisoners and cargo to their penal systems. In 2366 one of these vessels was acquired by Roga Danar a genetic augment from the Tarsian war. Angosian Transports have at least one escape shuttle. The Angosian application for Federation membership is still pending due to their treatment of their augments.

NX 01 encountered one of these vessels adrift its crew harvested by an unknown enemy. A Axanar patrol ship eventually helped rescues NX 01 from a similar fate.

History: The Small Boslic Freighter shares a design ethos with the Talerians. Whether this is due to chance, purchasing or technological theft remains to be seen. This variant is popular with smugglers and captains who want to be there tomorrow. It is a popular design with Female Boslic captains who seem to be more involved with illicit trade than their male compatriots.
