Croma: Electronics MegaStore: Tata group's Infiniti Retail

Owned and managed by Infiniti Retail, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Tata Sons, Croma receives technical and strategic sourcing support from Woolworths India, a subsidiary of Woolworths. The latter is an Australian retail giant with over 2,000 stores in 12 different formats in Australia. The above 20,000 sq feet chain at Juhu in Mumbai retails products in eight categories. These are white goods, home entertainment, small appliances, computers and peripherals, communication, music, imaging and gaming software. In each of these categories, the buyer is spoiled for choice, with nearly 6,000 products and 180 brands to choose from. Currently organised retail is only 3 to 6 per cent whereas the total retail turnover in India was 250 million dollars last year. But organised retail is growing at a speed of 40 per cent. The pie is large enough." These facts were disclosed at an AT Kearney summit held in Mumbai recently. There are other measures that he hopes to use to attract the customer. Ties-up with Microsoft: MS@Retail


The joint initiative of the two companies brings for the first time networking solutions for every room of a house. The technology available at Croma, Juhu, will showcase Microsoft connected homes which bring together music and movies, thereby enriching and enhancing the lifestyles of consumers, he said. The MS@Retail shop in shop pilot project kiosk at Croma Juhu would showcase technology that will create homes where everyone is connected to everything. The technology will help in assisting to connect camera to a Xbox and put up a show for the whole family, watch movies by connecting Xbox to the LCD, as also convert the PC to a gaming machine, thereby providing the unique technology for a completely networked home.

Buy a Croma Gift Card from any of the following 4 Croma Mumbai stores

Load an amount of your choice on it. The price of the Gift Card is Rs. 25/- over and above which will be the gifting amount you load. Gift the loaded card to your friends, relatives, colleagues, employees etc. Gift them the freedom to choose their own gift.

With this loaded card the holder can shop from any Croma store in Mumbai up to the amount that is loaded on the card. If he wishes to buy merchandise that is worth more than the value loaded on the card, he can pay the difference by cash or debit/credit card. If the holder shops for merchandise that is less than the value loaded on the gift card, the balance amount remains on the card and can be redeemed in parts in subsequent swipes. The Croma Gift Card can be redeemed at any of the 15 stores in Mumbai.

Terms and Conditions of gift cards


The Gift Card issued by Croma, Infiniti Retail Limited (IRL) shall be governed by the following terms and conditions: Gift Card shall be redeemable against purchase of any product(s) from any Croma store in Mumbai Gift card shall not be redeemable for cash and cannot be used for settlement of any credit. Gift Card shall become void and cannot be used after its expiry date. Gift Card cannot be reloaded. Top up can be done only once. Unused balance on the card will not be refunded or credited. It is the Gift Card holders responsibility to use the full amount before the expiry of the Gift Card. Validity: Gift Card will expire after 6 months from date of issue. Procedure for Use of Gift Card:

Step 1: Customer can buy a Gift Card from select Croma stores by paying a card purchase fee of Rs. 25/-

Step 2: Customer can then top up the card with the desired amount. The cashier will load the card with the nominated amount and the card will be automatically activated within 24 hours of purchase. Step 3: Gift Card is ready to be used post 24 hours of top up.

Enquiry about balance amount can be made at any Croma store. If purchase exceeds available card balance available in the Gift Card, the difference must be paid by the Gift Card holder by another payment method i.e. cash or credit\ debit card or physical gift vouchers of Croma. Please remember: Once the Gift Card balance becomes zero or after the date of expiry of the Gift Card, you must destroy the card by cutting into pieces. Gift Card cannot be used against purchase on EMI schemes. In case the card is defaced, mutilated or altered, the Gift Card holder must immediately inform the nearest Croma store and present the card so that the card can be blocked to prevent misuse. A fresh card for the balance amount will be issued on payment of card purchase fee of Rs. 25/- and after fulfilling other formalities as required by IRL.

Customer service
For music CD, DVD, Gaming Software and Small Appliances Request for Exchange will be entertained only for Music CD's DVD's, Gaming Software and Small Appliances on account of inherent manufacturing defects, subject to fulfillment of the following conditions:

Products must be presented for exchange within 4 days of purchase; The original invoice must be presented;

The Products to be exchanged must be returned in undamaged & saleable condition including all accessories and manuals. There should be no signs of external damage on packaging including the original carton. For details, please refer to the Exchange Policy on the invoice or contact the Customer Service Desk.

For Products that require home delivery For products that require home delivery like entertainment and large appliances, products will be exchanged by Croma under the following conditions:

Products that have suffered external damage in-transit: Any damage discovered at the stage of inspection by the Customer when it is unpacked by the delivery associate after delivery, the damaged products would be entitled for replacement. o No request for exchange will be entertained after the Customer signs the delivery Challen acknowledging the receipt of the products without any damage. In case of defects arising thereafter, such defects will be serviced by the Manufacturer/ Brand service center as per the manufacturer's warranty.

Products that have suffered external damage in-transit: A working defect discovered at the time of demo /installation will be declared "Dead-on-Arrival" and the products will be entitled for replacement.

Note: The products to be exchanged must be returned in undamaged & saleable condition including all accessories and manuals. There should be no signs of external damaged on the packaging, including the original carton. The Customer is requested to retain the carton, packaging material, manual, accessories etc until the demo and installation has been completed.

No exchange for following products:

Products as Desktops, Laptops, Peripherals, Gaming Harware Handy-cams Digital Cameras, Mobile phones,Fixed phones, MP3 Players, Accessories, Large Appliances, LCD's, TV's, Home Theatre Systems and other Entertainment products will not be exchanged, after the product is delivered, installed, demonstrated and/ or carried out of store post sale. Any products sold under Special Offers or Promotional Schemes will not be exchanged.

Personal care products will not be exchanged for the hygiene reasons. Free Gifts will not be exchanged or covered under any kind of warranty.
