This course should bring understanding and ability to the students about to calculate and to analyse: a) impedances of overhead lines and underground cable transmission, b) performances of transmission lines, c) bus admittance matrix and bus impedance matrix, d) power flow, e) symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults currents and voltages, f) transient stability, g) power system control and h) economic operations of power system. The students understand and have an ability to calculate and to analyse: power system component parameters, power flow, symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults, and transient stability; and they know about the principles of power system controls and economic operations.
