MERINO WOOL FIBER FACTS

Minus33 wool wicks moisture away from the skin about 30% faster than synthetic fabric.
Merino Wool - Natures fiber is both breathable and absorbent, is comfortable next to the skin, and functions well as either a base layer or an outer layer.
The natural crimp and properties of Merino wool fiber promotes insulation to protect against both hot and cold temperatures. Wool actually absorbs heat. When wool absorbs moisture it creates a molecular energy. Merino wool removes 60 BTUs of heat per ounce of perspiration - more than any synthetic. Each wool fiber can absorb up to one third of its own weight in moisture without feeling clammy or wet to the touch. Wool fiber is porous, meaning the fiber absorbs vapor before it condenses. Being porous also allows the fiber to transfer the moisture away from the skin quicker and more efficiently. Wool is also naturally flame retardant. Wool is naturally odor resistant due to wool having an inability to host odor producing bacteria. Since wool keeps you drier, there is less of a breeding ground for odor causing bacteria. Also, wool contains amino acids which actually break down bacteria, unlike any synthetic fiber. Merino wool offers a more natural, renewable, recyclable, biodegradable and durable fabric than that of fossil fuel plastic derivatives such as polyester, polypropylene. Finer micron Merino wools are not itchy or scratchy. Australian and new Zealand wool growers have refined the wool sorting process to produce soft, durable wool for next-to-skin applications. Minus33 uses the finest Merino wools to achieve a soft non-itchy fabric that is the softest and most comfortable you will ever feel!

only use approved methods to clean the helmet. using other unapproved chemicals or methods may damage the helmet shell or lining. A damaged helmet may increase your risk of serious injury or death in an accident.
SHELL CLEANING
Glossy finish. hjc recommends cleaning your helmet with products designed for automotive cleaning and polishing. All hjc helmets are finished with an automotive type base coat/clear coat finish. rubbing compounds can be used for deep cleaning to remove many scratches and scuffs. follow the products instructions diligently. over polishing with rubbing compounds can cause light abrasions which may dull the finish of your helmet. stickers and decals will leave adhesive residue when removed. to remove the adhesive residue, use alcohol swabs. Be certain to immediately wipe away the excess liquid and clean the area with soap and water once the adhesive residue is removed. Do not use excessive pressure while rubbing when attempting to remove the adhesive residue, instead use multiple light treatments. non-Glossy finish. for our flat finish (non-glossy) helmets, we recommend using warm water and mild soap. use multiple treatments for heavier dirt. Do not use excessive pressure or rubbing compounds while cleaning the surface as a glossy effect could be created, ruining the flat finish appearance.
SHIELD CARE & CLEANING
Cleaning: hjc does not recommend cleaning any shield with spray-on type chemical cleaners. A reaction between shield and cleaning chemical is possible, resulting in haze build-up and distortion. hjc recommends washing the shield with warm water and soft cloth only. we also recommend cleaning the shield as soon as possible after dirt and debris have accumulated. Do not let debris sit on the shield for any extended period of time. if debris has accumulated over time, it is recommended to clean the shield in several applications. this allows the debris to break down with every application. excessive rubbing can lead to scratching as the hard debris can act as a scuffing agent. the same can occur if low grade rigid paper towels are used.
INTERIOR CARE
Although we recommend changing a helmet every 3 to 5 years, the accumulation of sweat, humidity, and dirt can deteriorate the fabric and stitching and this may cause odor. to wash hjc removable pads, hjc recommends regular machine washing and air drying. removable interiors are available in models: is-16, cl-sp, cl-16, cl-15, cs-r2, is-MAX Bt, is-Max, cl-MAX ii Bt, cl-Max, cl-y, cl-Xy, spXn, sp-X, cl-X6, cl-X5n, and cs-MX. for non-removable interiors, hjc recommends using bacteria and mildew eliminating products such as helmet fresh.
VENT CLEANING
Dirt and debris can find its way into the venting of your hjc helmet. compressed air cans used for cleaning computer keyboards may be used to blow the debris from the ventilation system. it is recommended that you remove any removable pads before doing this process.

castle sales co., inc. is a wholesale distributor selling to legitimate business establishments. possession of this catalog or use of our website does not guarantee the right to purchase from castle sales. we reserve the right to refuse doing business with any company or individual without prior notice being given. Dealer costs and suggested list prices are noted on our price list or online at castlesales.net. All prices are subject to change without notice, but we make every attempt to keep you informed of any price changes. A $3.00 service charge is added to orders less than $50.00. our terms are c.o.D., credit card or net10th of the month. we do not pay c.o.D. fees. A $25.00 service charge is applied to any returned check. we pay freight on orders over $595.00. orders less than $595.00 will be shipped foB green Bay, wi via the most economical carrier. freight will not be paid on past due accounts. free freight on $750 or more of shippable closeout items. regular merchandise may be combined with closeout items to reach $750. closeout items may be invoiced and shipped separately from non-sale items closeout items may not be returned and sale prices do not apply to prior purchases A $25.00 service charge plus freight is applied to any refused shipment. every effort is made to ship all orders complete within 24 hours. unless you indicate no BAckorDers, items temporarily out of stock will be shipped automatically. Backorders over 15 days old will be reconfirmed by phone before we ship. Backorders under $25.00 will be canceled. title to merchandise passes to the customer when order is accepted by carrier. Damage or shortage claims should be made by customer directly to carrier. closeout merchandise may not be returned or exchanged. All invoice or shipping discrepancies must be reported within 5 days of receipt. if the error is ours, replacement or credit will be issued. castle sales does not issue call tags, but will reimburse freight charges. Merchandise returns are not permitted without prior approval and require an rA number furnished only by contacting our customer service Department. rA numbers are to identify shipments and do not assure that credit will be issued or an exchange will be made. non-defective merchandise returned within 10 days of receipt will be assessed a 10% restocking fee, plus freight. non-defective merchandise returned 10-30 days of receipt will be assessed a 15% restocking fee, plus freight. no returns accepted after 30 days. All returns must have an rA number and also be accompanied with the original invoice number and in original packaging suitable for resale. Castle Sales Co., Inc. grants no warranties whatsoever, whether expressed, implied or statutory, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Customers sole remedy is specifically limited to the warranties, if any, granted by the manufacturer of the product. The foregoing is customers exclusive remedy for breach of warranty. In no event shall, Castle Sales Co., Inc. be liable for any incidental or consequential damages as a result of defects in material or workmanship in the products it sells.
