Getting Started
This document provides guidance on how to get started with the SID by describing the contents of the .zip files that make up this release of the SID and the order in which the SID documents should be read.

Getting Started With the SID.zip

This file contains three documents which should be read in order 1. GB922 0 P SID Primer provides an overview of information modeling as well as key concepts contained within the SID 2. GB922 SID Business View Concepts and Principles provides an overview of the SID, the SID Framework, SID and eTOM mappings, as well as snapshots of key SID model components 3. GB922 1U Using the SID describes how to get started using the SID Rational Rose model as well as how to extend the SID model

SID Domain Addenda

This file contains all of the SID domain-specific addenda, for example GB922-5LR describes the Logical Resource domain. These documents can be read as needed dependent upon the domain(s) of interest.

Overview of NGOSS SID Release 7.0

This release of the SID introduces a new Revenue Assurance addendum, updates to the Product addendum and the Contract addendum.

Summary of Changes in this release

GB922-1C as currently written references the old (pre-CR) version of TMF053b that included some descriptions/specifications. Minor editing changes removed these references. GB922-Addendum 3 CR48, Product addendum updated with additional explanation and examples of CR51 Product Characteristics; update to depict two alternatives for relating Product Specifications and Product Offerings; update to depict details of relationship between Bundled Product Offerings and Product Offerings. GB922-Addendum 7RA CR49 This new addendum extends existing capability of SID to support Revenue Assurance needs.
