Introduction 1.1 Purpose This purpose of supplementary specification to determine the requirement that we needed in CATLASS system. This supplementary specification that are not define in the use case model. 1.2 Scope The scope of this supplementary specification to provide the system requirement , it will be applied to trace the student advices and this technology will be useful for them . Usability 3.1 Ease of use There is no training or user guide are required . This will be verified by usability test . 3.2 User requirement The system does not need specific requirement it just need basic web browsing skill and user name , password to access . 3.3 Support availability To support on line user there are help document and E-mail support will be allowed to all authorized users . 4. Reliability 4.1 System Availability CATLASS system will be available for the user all the year and 24 hours a day and 7 days a week . 4.2 Mean Time Between Failures ( MTBF ) The system may fail to hold new entries in the first time . This system is developed directly . 4.3 Mean Time To Repair ( MTTR ) In the event of system failure due to data are stored in the data base it will be regained within on hour . 4.4 Maximum Bugs or Defect Rate Not specified .

Performance 5.1 System Response Time A high-speed system it may take 5 second to display student information and every 5 minute the system make automatic update . 5.2 Throughput The number of transaction related to the number of users . The user are student who regest in CATLASS and add all information and advice belong them . 5.3 Capacity This system has capacity to deal with most of users . 5.4 System connectivity CATLASS is connectable to all system connect n the local area network . 5.5 Recourse authorization The system take advantage of the back up files and can be recovered again when need it .

The maintenance of the system will be done as per normal requirement . 7. Design Constraints 7.1 Software Language Use The language will use it to CATLASS are Active Server Pages ( ASP ) , java server pages ( JSP ) , THML , PHP and the internet services ( IIS ) server need to be installed . 7.2 Development Tools To development this system will use java development tools for use it with java server page . 7.3 Class library Will use java class library . 8. Online User Documentation and Help System Requirements The online documentation will describe the general detail in CATLASS system . In CATLASS website available the document as pdf in the online help section . User guide includes a description of all system function and how to use it with insurrection also some of error expected from the user . Maintenance guide only for people who have been trained to use the system and authorized person . 9. Purchased Components Internet server, Computers, Database space. 10. 10.1 Interfaces User Interfaces Can use web browser like Microsoft internet Explorer or Firefox to use this system . The user interfaces design simply to log in and use the system .
