Synopsis: To request SAC authority for the restriction of case
access in ACS.
Details: Pursuant to policy set forth by the National Security
Branch, on DS/17/2006, SAC authority is required for the
restriction of cases in the ACS system. This policy was unknown
to the Riverside RA and upon opening the captioned matter, the
case was restricted in ACS due to the sensitivity of the
investigation and the necessity for discretion when handling a
Congressional matter. Case access was restricted to those
directly working on the investigation and their chain of
management in Los Angeles as well as the appropriate personnel at
FBIHQ in the PC Unit. It is requested SAC authority now be
granted in order to continue the restricted access and maintain
the confidentiality of the investigation.
