(St.

Augustine Church, Barberton, OH) (August 12, 2012)

Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Listen to Jesus in todays gospel: Stop murmuring among yourselves. What good does it do? If we have a problem, we need to state it honestly, clearly, with affection and at the appropriate time. Constant complaining becomes nagging. We might feel better, but others will feel bitter. (Insert graphic 1106-0086) 362 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. Loving God should be the air we breathe. What do we have, what are we, that we have not received from His love? Everything! All God wants in return is our love. We mainly show that we love God by what we do, especially when what we do costs us. There is a complete list of open hours at the back of the church. Please call Judy Soltis at 330-212-0926 if you are able to assist.

OUR BAPTISMAL CALL TO EVANGELIZE: As His disciples, Jesus has invited us to follow Him. When He ascended to our Father, He gave us the commission to go out to all the nations. HOW ABOUT DOING THIS AT HOME? The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the primary way those who are hungering for a deeper relationship with God, perhaps through Catholicism, learn about and explore our Faith. Sessions for 2012-13 begin on Monday, September 10, at 7:00 pm in the Rectory Meeting Room. Those interested can either make an appointment with me by calling 745-0011 x 18, or attend an Inquiry Night on August 20 at 7:00 pm in the Rectory. Is your spouse non-Catholic? Do you have a friend, co-worker, neighbor or relative to whom you should mention this opportunity? Think about! Take the plunge! Please feel free to call me with any questions. May God lead you and bless you. Karen Bellett, Pastoral Associate
