The topic of the essay was The relevance today of Lincolns statement that a house divided against itself cannot stand. Both of them have won an all expense trip to Washington Workshops for a week this summer in D.C. __________________ Two students from Brookstone School have won 2nd and 3rd place in the high school division of the 2012 Law Day Essay contest. The 2nd place winner was Adriana Embus, and the 3rd place winner was Andrew Hearn. They were honored at the Law Day Luncheon on Thursday, April 26th, where each student was recognized and given their monetary awards. __________________ In March, about 30 sophomores showed up for the House of Heroes project. Thanks to Mitzi Gaynor, Magda Doyle, Pam Shuler, and Cynthia Lingo who helped make it a success! __________________ In levels 1-5 in high school French, we had 25 students rank in the top 20 in the state of Georgia and/or top 25 nationally. There were between 900-1000 in each level in just the state. Rachel Mullahy finished 4th in dramatic interpretation, while Andrew Dreelin placed 5th. Andrew Hearn and Lizzie Greenblatt each placed 5th for solo performances as well. __________________ Brookstone students represented us very well at the State Technology Fair in Macon back in March. This involved singing at a Festival where both groups received an Excellent rating & trophy. __________________ The Habitat for Humanity Home will be dedicated on Saturday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. We had great turnouts all year.
