PROJECTS: Current Research Project: Tracking Large Variable Objects in Clutter - Proposed a statistical data association method for automated tracking of enormously large numbers of objects in infrared thermal video. Heuristic pruning techniques are being developed to solve the NP-hard multiple hypothesis filter. Ram Disk File system - Developed a RAM file system as a Linux kernel loadable module using VMware as the development platform. IOCTLs were used to communicate with the system. The file system directory was developed as a tree based structure; file storage was on ram blocks of specific size. Indexing Database of Probability Distributions - Devised an approach to context-based retrieval of images by modelling images as a mixture of multi dimensional Gaussian probability distributions and subsequently indexing this database of pdfs using the KL-divergence distance measure. Internship Project: User Voting Enhancements of Demand Fulfilment Engine and TMAPI modelling - Designed and implemented enhancements voted by i2 customers, to the Solaris based Demand Fulfilment engine. These enhancements contributed to the 6.2 release of Demand Fulfilment solution. Undergraduate Thesis: A Study of Multimedia Security Using Watermarking Techniques Undertook a study of steganographic and cryptographic algorithms and deployed a combined technique to provide a better security option for copyrighted digital images. Achieved robust encrypted watermarking. Design and implementation of a Single Tasking Operating System - Developed a basic operating system consisting of a bootstrap loader, a command line interface and file system using x86 assembly. Macroeconomic Study of the Japanese Economy - Performed a study of the Japanese economy by analysing time series data of major macro-economic indicators.
