(Major Offenses) The Team Discipline plan will be enforced or a Referral will be written to rectify the situation. All offenses will be documented. Please note that we want all of our students to enjoy their 7th grade experience and everything we have to offer. The overall safety and welfare of the students takes top priority. All must maintain good conduct. Homework/Late Work Policy: Homework is intended to help students preview new material in preparation for the next lesson, or review material that was covered during that days session. As such, it is to the students benefit that all homework assignments be completed. FIRST QUARTER ONLY: students are allowed THREE late work-passes. A late work pass means the student may submit late work one class period after the original due date. In addition, the student will be submitting the work for a maximum of 75% of the original credit. During second quarter, absolutely no late work will be accepted. At the teachers discretion, students may have the opportunity to recycle homework. Students who choose to recycle an assignment can earn up to half of the missed points. For example, if a student earns a 50 out of 100 points on an assignment, they may recycle to earn 25 points for a maximum of 75 total points. Recycling does not guarantee a student the maximum amount of points possible. Meaning, students are not guaranteed 25 points, but can earn up to 25, depending on the quality of work. Make-up Work Policy: It is the students responsibility to ask for missed work. Students who have an excused absence have one (1) day per excused absence to makeup assignments and homework. Students with an unexcused absence will not have the opportunity to makeup assignments and homework. Students who anticipate being absent on the due date of an assignment should turn it in early or arrange for another student to bring it to school. Assignments may also be faxed (904) 346-5657 or e-mailed to flynnk@duvalschools.org.
