Right strake

Before installation, clean the bottom of the car from the rear of the front wheels to the front of the rear wheels. Be careful not to damage the body paint finish. This side under spoiler cannot be installed if the vehicle is equipped with spash guards.

1. Attach the left strake to the side under spoiler using the three self-tapping screws.

Remove the four clips that fasten the existing side under spoiler to the side sill, then remove the spoiler by sliding it toward the front.

Remove the spring nut from the end of the side under spoiler you just removed. Remove the eight clips from the side sill by turning them 45 degrees.

Remove the three self-tapping screws that fasten the front inner fender to the fenderwell.

Slide the eight clips removed in step 5 onto the holders on the new side under spoiler through the slots shown. Slide a rubber spacer onto each of the eight clips you just installed.

While wearing eye protection, drill a 10 mm hole through the center-punched mark. Wrap masking tape around each drill bit at a point 10 mm from the tip of each drill bit. First drill with a 3 mm drill bit, then with a 6 mm drill bit, and finish with a 10 mm drill bit. Remove all burrs and metal shavings, and apply touch-up paint to the edges of the hole.

Install the spring nut removed in step 4 on the end of the new side under spoiler. From the center of the rear clip hole, measure 47 mm forward, and mark that point using a felt-tip pen. Position the template on the side sill and align it with the mark you made. Continue to mark the side sill as indicated on the template, and lightly center-punch the mark.
DRILL (First drill with a 3 mm bit, then with a 6 mm bit, and finish with a 10 mm bit)

Installing the Left Side Under Spoiler 10. Push the four well nuts and one blind plug into the five holes in the side sill (four clip holes and one 10 mm hole drilled in step 9). Be sure to install the blind plug in the correct hole shown.

13. Fit the side under spoiler into position on the side sill by aligning the eight clips with the square holes in the side sill. Insert the bracket on the left strake between the vehicles guard pipe and the bolt. Insert the end of the side under spoiler between the front inner fender and body. Push the side under spoiler firmly against the side sill until all clips click into position in the square holes.

11. Loosen the bolt on the vehicle guard pipe. 12. Pull the left front inner fender out in the direction shown, then cut out the marked area from the left front inner fender with diagonal cutters.

14. Install the four washer-bolts, and tighten them securely. Overtightening the washer-bolts could damage the well nuts.

15. Retighten the bolt on the vehicles guard pipe. 16. Install the cover in the strake.

Installing the Right Side Under Spoiler 18. Push the five well nuts and one blind plug into the six holes in the side sill (four clip holes, one 10 mm hole drilled in step 9, and rear clip hole). Be sure to install the blind plug in the correct hole shown.

17. Reinstall the three self-tapping screws removed in step 2.

19. Pull the right front inner fender out in the direction shown, then cut out the marked area from the right front inner fender with diagonal cutters.

20. Fit the side under spoiler into position on the side sill by aligning the eight clips with the square holes in the side sill. Insert the end of the side under spoiler between the front inner fender and body. Push the side under spoiler firmly against the side sill until all clips click into position in the square holes.
WELL NUT WASHER-BOLT

22. Position the strake on the side under spoiler, and install the washer-bolt. Reach through the hole in the strake, and tighten the washer-bolt using a Phillips screwdriver. Install the cover in the hole in the strake.
