Company Profile

DWEY Bay Radio 104.7 FM was established in 1998. The Batangas office was the first and main office of the BayComms Broadcasting Company. IV. V. Organizational Chart Sources of Income and Expenses The main expense of the company is for the electric bills. How else will a radio station without electricity? This commodity of the company is inevitably plays a vast part in the companys operation. Without it computers, transmitters, and other technical gadgets will be useless. Aside from the benefit of this electricity, it also may cause grave danger to the operation. Looking back few months ago, the station suffered technical issues due to the glitch in the transmitter due to the fluctuation of electricity. Actually other stations where affected with this event but their personnel easily managed to extinguish the fire causing less damage to the

facilities but for Bay Radio, their personnel were not trained to handle such events as they panicked and left the station without proper maneuvers. This situation wherein personnel gets into situations they are not trained or ready for, the damage to the facilities becomes grave causing the management to spend more for replacement of apparatus like in this case, the transmitter. The transmitter is the source which sends information to an observer or receiver. Usually, it has power supply, an ossilator, a modulator, amplifiers for the audio frequency (AF) and the radio frequency (RF). Furthermore, aside from unexpected incidents like such, from time to time the equipment of the stations must have regular maintenance or replacement to avoid technical issues. Upon the interview the group keenly observed the equipment Bay Radio uses every day and these are some of what we have noticed. Console. It is the centerpiece and serves as the heart of the radio station. It has the inputs, outputs, VU meters, pots ( which fades sound in and out), the monitor and master gains. It was clean and very well taken care of. Microphones. These are the means of which the jockeys communicate and if these are not functional nor working properly, the quality of the voice or the show will be affected. The radio station takes good care of their omni -directional microphones that they use and we tested it ourselves on air while greeting our friends, mates and faculties in LPU B.
