RecentlyIhavebeenaskedtoexplainthedifferencesbetweenEnagicswater ionizersandothersonthemarketsofrequentlythatIdecidedtoansweron papersomoreofyouwouldhaveaccesstotheresearchIhavedoneoverthe courseofthepast2years.SinceIjoinedEnagicinFebruary2005,Ihavebeen askedthisquestion10ormoretimesperweek.Themoreionizingcompanies thatbegindistributionintheUS,themoreinformationpopsupontheinternet, andthemoreinternetinformationthatispublishedthemoreconfusionthere seemstobeonthesubject. Thisisactuallyawonderfulphenomenon.Themoretheconceptofionization becomesawellknownprocess,theeasieritistoenterintoadiscussionabout waterionization.Itactuallypavesthewaytogreaterunderstandinginthe generalpublic.Thisisgreatnews!Eachtimesomeonevisitsasitediscussing pHoroxidationorionization,theyreceivesomelevelofeducationinanother waytoassisttheminlivingamorehealthconsciouslifestyle.Theseeducational bitesalsomeanthatyouhavelessandlesseducationtodotogetyour potentialcustomerwellinformedonthesetopics. Additionally,anyonewhopurchasesanybrandofwaterionizerismakinga positiveimpactontheenvironment.Theyareremovingthemselvesfromthe hoardsofpeopleoverburdeningtheplanetwithmountainsofplasticbottles.So fromanenvironmentalstandpointallionizersareonestepclosertoacleaner planet. However,asaconsumertryingtoeducatethemselvesinordertomakeawise purchase,therearemanyotherthingstoconsider.Firstandforemost,the machineneedstofittheindividualsneeds,bebuilttolast,andprovidetrue healthbenefits. Unfortunately,notallwaterionizersarecreatedequal,norareall manufacturers.Somecompaniesaresimplyridingonthecoattailsofthewell respectedJapanesecompaniesandeitherinadvertentlyorpurposefully misleadingthegeneralpublicwhileothercompaniesareinthisindustryto stay.

Tobetterexplainthis,letsusetheautomobileindustryasananalogy.There aremanytypesofmotorizedvehiclesmanufacturedandsoldwiththegeneral purposeofmovingpeoplefromoneplacetoanother.Thesewouldinclude manufacturersofluxurycars,farmtrucks,andgolfcarts.Eachofthesedevices hasseveralthingsincommon:

Sotheoretically,eachcouldtransportyoufromLAtoNewYorkCity,however theexperiencewouldbedramaticallydifferent.Youcanimaginethatacross countrytripinagolfcartisanattainabletrip,butwhentravellingatthespeed of20milesperhouritwouldtakeaverylongtimetoarriveatyourfinal destination.Additionally,whiletravellinginyourgolfcartyouwouldbeexposed tosomanynaturalelementsthatyouwouldarriveatyourdestinationinless thanpristinecondition.Nowanoldfarmtruckwouldbeabigstepupinspeed andprotectionfromtheelements,buttheridewouldstillbeabitbumpyand likelynotentirelyreliable.However,acrosscountrytripinaluxurycarwould beatriponecouldlookforwardtotaking.Theridewouldholdeverythingyou werelookingfor,speed,safetyfromtheelements,comfortandreliability. Thissameconceptisalsotrueofwaterionizers.Allionizersarecapableof restructuringwater.Howmuch,howefficientlyandhoweffectivelythewateris changedwillbedependentupon2thingsthequalityandconfigurationofthe electricalcomponentsandthecompositionofthefiltrationmedia.Thesefactors encompass90%ofthedifferencesfromonemanufacturertoanotherand shouldbethedecidingfactorsinpurchasinganionizer.Theadditional10%is simplyprice. Anyprudent,healthconsciousconsumerwillconsiderawaterionizeran investmentinlongtermhealth.Thereforeitwouldbewisetochooseamachine whichiscapableofproducingthebestresultsoverthelongestperiodoftime. Todolesswouldsimplybethrowingmoneyaway. However,ithasbeenincreasinglydifficultforconsumerstomakethat determinationduetoallofthedistributorhype,falseinformationandoutand outliespublishedontheinternet.Soitismygoalthatthisdocumentprovides

OverthepasttwoyearsIhavenotedthatthereseemstobeapatterninthe questionsthatareaskedrepeatedly.Eachtimeaneworexistingionizing companyrollsoutanewproductthereisaflurryofexcitement,aresurgenceof poorlydocumentedinformationandalotofpressreleasedonthesubjectof waterionizers.Allofthisnewenergygenerallyresultsinatleastonenew distributorwhoisonamission.Unfortunately,thenewestexpertgenerally haslittleornorealbackgroundtotrulyunderstandthechemistry,physicsand pathophysiologynecessarytoseparatefactfromfiction.Whenthathappens somenewarticleispostedonawebsitethatcausesastir.Newcomersto Enagicwhoarenotaccustomedtotheseattacksbegintogetquestionsfrom potentialcustomersandareunsurehowtoanswerthem.Iwillattemptto rememberallofthequestionssinceearly2005andanswerthemtomyfullest abilityinthisdocument.Thetwomostfrequentlyaskedquestionsthesedays revolvearoundapaidadvertisementthataJupiterdistributorpostedinearly 2007.Itpoisesitselfasanarticledebunkingthemythsandfactsaround KangenWater.InactualityitisstrictlyanadvertisementusedbybothJupiter distributorsandLifeIonizerdistributors.ItisNOTanarticlewrittentolayout factsandmythsitISasalespromotionpiece. Thissoundsreasonabletopeoplewhoarenotwellinformedonthesubjectof ionization.Anditisawonderfulwayforthemanufacturertosavealotof moneyinproduction.However,ithassomeveryseriousflaws.Athorough explanationwilltakeseveralparagraphs.Justsoyouwontgetlostthistext theexplanationofionizationwillappearinblue. Asmostofyoualreadyknow,ionizationhappenswhenwater,HOH, dissociatesintoH+andOH.Themostefficientandeffectivewayto accomplishthisutilizeselectricity.Whenelectricitypassesthroughwaterthis dissociationhappensquickly.Thegreatertheelectricalchargeandthelonger thewaterisexposedtothiselectricalcharge,themorecompletethe ionization. Thatiswhywaterionizingunitsusemetalplates.Metalplatesconduct electricity,andthatelectricalchargeiswhatcausesthedissociationofthe watermolecules.Thisbringsupseveralpointstoconsider: 1. Somemetalsarebetterelectricalconductorsthanothers.Forinstance, somemanufacturersusealuminum,stainlesssteel,copper,whitegold ormetallicalloys.Themostreputablecompaniesusetitaniumand platinum. 2. Additionally,itsdensitykeepsitfromreadilybreakingdowninwater. 4. Platinumischosenbecause,unliketitanium,inminuteamountsitis actuallyatracemineralthathasmanyhealthbenefits. 5. Themoreheavilycoatedtheplates,thelongeritwilltaketobreak downtheplatinumandexposethetitanium.(Ofcoursetheheavierthe coating,thegreaterthemanufacturingcosts.) Thesepointsareveryimportantfactors.Jupitersmeshplatesaremadefrom titaniumcoatedwithplatinum.Whilethismeshwillconductelectricity,there are3distinctdrawbackstousingwiremesh: 1. Thisresultsinamachinethathasashorterusefullife. Inotherwords,eachtimeelectricitypassesthroughthesewiresthatcreate themesh,moreplatinumisbreakingdownintothewater.Whilethat,in itselfisnotharmfultothebody,itmeansthatthetitaniumwillbeexposed soonerandthatisharmfultothebody. Thatistheveryreasonthatbigger,moredensetitaniumplateswithathick platinumcoatingofferamoreeffectivelongtermsolution.Theseplateswill consistentlyproduceamorecompleteionizationprocessandwilllastmuch longer.Unlikeanyothercompany,Enagicoffersa5yearwarrantybecause theirunitsaremadetolast. Someofyoumaybeunawareofthefactthatinorderformineralstobebio availablethehumanbodytheymustcomefromaplantsource.Coralisnot aplant,itisananimal.So,muchlikecalciumfrombovinesources,itisnot bioavailabletobeusedbyourbodies. UVLight: Akai,anotherJapanesemanufacturer,hasthemostuniqueapproachtokilling microbespresentinthewater.AkaiutilizesaUVlighttodestroyundesirable microbes.Whilecompleteionizationshouldkillanymicrobialcontentinthe water,Akaitookanextrasteptobecertain.Theremainderoftheirfiltration utilizesactivatedgranularcarbonaswellasamechanicalfilter. Overthepast2yearsIhaveregularlycalledvariousJupiterdealerstoobtain information.IamalwayshonestandtellthemthatIamdoingresearchon waterionizersandIwanttoknowanythingthattheycantellmeabouttheir machines.Iwasproudlysenttothissiterecentlybyadistributor.They considerthisunittoberoughlyequivalentintheirlinetoourDXorDXII units. Atthetimethistestwasperformed,Jupiterwasclaimingthattheycould achievea800mVORPfromtheMelody.ButwhenIpressedthesalesman,I wastoldthatthenormalreadingswereabout175mV.Testsperformedin myownkitchen,usingthesametapthatisusedtoproducemyKangen Water,showedthattheJupiterMelodyconsistentlyproducedwaterwhich testedatonlya120mVORPwithapHof9.6.AnotherfactoristhattheORP
