Following Dreams Vs Falling for Packages

For dreams tall,millions sigh, for money alas! Zillions lie, what no one does is just to try, in the end of life they all cry

Before delving deep into the clash between dreams and packages first lets analyse the core of the conflict.Dreams are images aroused from hope ,aspiration,sensation and emotions . The study of dreams are called oneirology. Packages on the other hand are remuneration that a student gets in return for the service he offers to an organisation/institution. In life everyone needs money to fulfil the basic requirements of life like food,water,shelter,clothing. In a world driven by a term called competition ,one often finds a situation in which one or more of people are competing for each resource available. All these situations are usually resolved by the amount of money one is ready to spend on getting those resources.Hence with the entry of money as a player in the field of resource availability and fulfilment of life needs,dreams or individual aspirants are forced to take the back seat.

Every opinion that an individual has incase of a conflict is mostly galvanised more by his/her experience more than any theoretical knowledge. Although I believe that money is essential to be alive in the practical world But high packages being ways to fulfil dreams seems parochial .From my childhood I too had a dream and reification of which had occurred with my entry into XLRI.I like most other high aspiring students always wanted to be in the elite ivy league colleges of india .The path to the reification of the dream was not easy as lakhs of aspirants keep trying for an entry into these colleges over the years.It was a long drawn jeorney driven by shear passion for success impeded by numerous failures yet the hope and the passion to reify the dream kept me going. In the hindsight when I look back I feel it was perhaps the best and most memorable part of life. Struggle is essential for success but the sustainence in the face of barrage of difficulties only comes from deep desire and passion to succeed. For this passion to remain alive what one needs is a dream .Money or in that matter all other material objects which might aid the jeorney is never the parameter because if one looks back at history and studies the lives of the most successful men and women over the years ,they mostly have emerged from ordinary backgrounds and have battled severe shortages all through their lives. Dhirubhai Ambani and Jamshedji Tata are some glowing examples in the this regard. They all have started their glorious jeorney from a very modest background slowly but gradually chasing their dream and following their heart .Had their been no dream they wont have managed to scale the heights they had done over the years.And this very trend is evident in all other fields of human excellence too. Amitabh Bachan,Mahendra Singh Dhoni all had opted for the thing they loved most as their primary occupation at the face of family pressure and even at the face of a tough

resistance. The confidence with which they battled all the impediments that lay on their way can be summarised by a few words which they might have said to themselves and it were I have a dream and I will cross the stream.It is their confidence and limitless desire to achieve their dream that has taken them to where they are.

It is one life that we all have. If it is wasted in creating wealth as a path to chase the dream then it leaves one with just sighs . To die with an unfulfilled dream is indeed emotionally draining .Besides one who is positive and chases his dreams is always more energetic and vibrant in his approach which is far more likely to succeed than a dull insipid approach of first creating wealth and then using it as an aid to fulfil the dreams.Apart from that money can never win everything for example it cannot make one a singer but passion to sing can definitely do it.It is same for other arts too. One can get oneself the best of teachers by money but to be actually be able to be the best all one needs is a dream and a limitless desire to achieve it.
