C. Homework : Second language learning requires dedication and daily practice outside of the classroom. Homework is designed to provide additional practice with essential concepts. Additionally, students should plan to spend time reviewing vocabulary, spelling, grammar rules and pronunciation on a regular basis. Credit for homework is based upon degree of completion and accuracy. Certain homework assignments will be graded. Homework will be due at the beginning of the period. Students are expected to make corrections as necessary. No late work will be granted full credit. D. Participation : This is a high school credit bearing course. Students are expected to participate in all classroom activities and adhere to the standards for classroom conduct.

7. Make-up Work : Students are responsible for getting all class notes and completing all missed assignments in a timely manner (per CCPS guidelines). Students are expected to ask questions and seek extra help, outside of class time, if needed. * Any missed work, due to tardy, will have to be made up during lunch, during ASE, after school or as additional homework. All make-up work will be turned in during the time allotted to homework. NO HOMEWORK WILL BE TAKEN DURING THE LESSON. *I will always try to accommodate questions during class time. However, due to the amount of content to be covered with all students, I cannot use class time to teach a missed lesson to a single student. 8. Course Content: Beginning each new Unit, students will receive a filmstrip outlining essential grammar and vocabulary to be covered. In addition to the filmstrips, students will receive an almanach with questions relevant to the Units cultural themes. Additionally, I have created our Wikispace resource to house documents, youtube videos, on-line flashcards, etc. that are used in class throughout the entire year.
