ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY Karpagam Charity Trust was founded in the year 1989 with the aim of providing good educational facilities to the people and also catering to the needs of the poor at large, through charitable deeds. Dr. R. Vasanthakumar , Chancellor of Karpagam University, is an ardent devotee of God Almighty and a visionary with aim to serve the cause of higher education. With the enthusiasm and the wholehearted commitment of the Trustees, the institution has grown in all splendor and grace. Thus the college was conferred the University status by the MHRD & UGC in 2008. Keeping in view the National and International scenario, the university actively keeps updating the teaching curricula, designing courses on emerging areas and identifying research priorities with a focus on the problems and needs of the people and the region. The university has also introduced a wide range of curricular options to train the students in different fields of specialization through teaching, research and extension. ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF COMPUTER SCIENCE The School of Computer Science is one of the oldest departments in the history of Karpagam Educational Institutions. This department was established in the year 1995. When the B.Sc. Computer Science programme was launched. Later MCA, M.Sc. Computer Science , BCA, B.Sc.(IT) and Five year (Integrated) M.Sc. Software Systems Programmes were introduced. In 2008, Karpagam University introduced Computer Science and Engineering programme. Apart from imparting high quality teaching, the faculty is also involved in research, consultancy, and development of programs. Not satisfied in just being specialist providers for the IT industry or mass producers of vocationally trained personnel, the department designs its own curriculum to transform the graduates into skillful IT professionals for the corporate world.

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE The purpose of ICNICT 2012 is to publish the latest & high-quality research works on Intelligence, Computer Networks & Computing Technologies in theoretical and practical aspects. This conference aims to promote state-of-the-art research in the area of Computing Technologies. TOPIC OF INTEREST Authors are solicited to contribute to the special issue by submitting articles that illustrate research results, projects, surveying works and industrial experiences that describe significant advances in the following areas, but are not limited to: Advanced Computing Technologies Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing Automated Software Engineering Bioinformatics and Scientific Computing Computational Intelligence and Mathematics Data Structures & Algorithms Digital Image Processing Cloud Computing Wireless Networks and Security Computer Graphics & Virtual Reality Computer Networks & Security Data Mining and Knowledge Management Electronics Commerce

RESEARCH The Department also focuses on research activities and consultancy works. All the faculty members are involved in research work in predominant areas like Data Mining, Networking, Web Services, Image Processing, etc. They are also involved in inter-disciplinary research with the Department of Bio-Informatics. A research lab (with the necessary tools and software) is also in place to support the research activities in an effective manner. The department offers M.Phil., and Ph.D., Programmes in Computer Science in both Full Time and Part Time streams.

Registration Fee (non-refundable) is as follows : Participants Academic Staff/R&D Personnel / Research/Industry Foreign delegates Student 6 Pages Rs. 5000 US$150 Rs. 4000 Extra Per Page Rs. 1000 US$20 Rs. 1000 Registration fee will be accepted only by Demand Draft drawn in favor of "Karpagam University" payable at Coimbatore along with the completed Registration form. The fee includes Conference materials and boarding. Accommodation is available to participants on request and extra payment. No TA and DA is permissible.

PAPER SUBMISSION Authors are invited to submit papers for the conference through Easy Chair from July 01, 2012. Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication while being evaluated for this conference. Proceedings will be distributed during the Conference.
