FOOD PRODUCTS COMPLEX (DEHYDRATED ONIONS, GARLIC POWDER & FLAKES, CATTLE FEED, TOMATO POWDER, TOMATO PRODUCTS, CANNED FRUITS & VEGETABLES, TOMATO PUREE, GROUNDNUT OIL, REFINED OIL, DEHYDRATED GRAPES ETC.)
The main advantages of dehydrated onions are that they are easy to store, being lighter in weight and smaller in bulk than fresh or other processed onions, they are cheap to pack compared with canned goods, they do not require refrigerated storage as do frozen onions and the contents of a container can be used some time after opening provided they are not rehydrated. The newest dehydration process appears to be a variation on the airdrying process and is based on the principle of vapour pressure differentials, using air circulated around the onions at relatively low temperatures to sweat the water from the food. It is reported that this method of dehydration prevents a crust forming on the outside of the pieces of food and that the low temperatures have less effect on flavour, texture, colour and vitamin contents of onion than do the higher temperatures used in conventional hot air-drying methods.

INSTANT COFFEE
Instant coffee also known as soluble coffee is the dried water extract of roasted ground coffee. The product consists of brown cloured, free flowing particles of uniform size. Most commercial products contain 100% pure Coffee soluble solids. Instant coffee was included in the army rations during the Civil War and has been available in various forms, for a hundred years. However, it was not until after world war II that instant coffee became a popular consumer item. Its product quality is to better method, of manufacture as well as trend towards the use of convenience foods. Sale of soluble coffee have levelled off since 1961 but prior to 1961 there was a five fold growth over ten years. However, coffee has been a widely accepted societies beverage for many. The habit of drinking coffee spread rapidly across Europe, especially coffee become known in Vienna. Later its culture spread throughly in several countries in South America Central America. GOLD JEWELLERY
Jewellery making is one of the oldest industries in India. It has been a traditional craft in India, each region in the country specialising in different designs and skills. The Indian artisans and craftsman have developed mastery over the manufacture of solid gold ornaments, gem-encrusted jewellery, delicate ornaments with filligree work, enamelled jewellery as well as costume jewellery. Jewellery is one trade which is still placed in the cottage industry category. However, the growing recognition of Indian workmanship by foreign luyers has result in bosting the export of cut and polished gems. The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council was set up in 1966. This was a welcome stepas gem and jewellery has been recognised as an export-oriented industry. The council operating under the Union Commerce Ministry as a non profit service institution, has helped in the establishment of testing laboratories and training school at Jaipur and the Indian Gemmological Institute at Delhi. The council represent about 3,000 exporters of gems and jewellery.

STEEL ROLLING MILL (BY INDUCTION FURNACE) FROM STEEL SCRAP AND SPONGE IRON
The products of steel plants are in the form of structural shapes such as I-sections, channels, angles, plates, rails, sheets, axles and wheels for railways, merchant products lime rounds, hexagons, squares, strips etc. Galvanized sheets, tin-plates, wire-rods and so on. Rails, wheels and axles are specifically meant for railways which are a large consumer of steel. These are specifically used directly as supplied by steel plant. However, the remaining products of a steel plant, by and large, are processed further in engineering industries before their actual use. These products are therefore often called as Semis meaning thereby that they are semi-finished steel products only.

ORANGE JUICE
Fruit Juices being rich in essential minerals, vitamins and other nutritive factor, they are quite popular. Besides, they are delicious and have universal appeal unlike other beverages. The nutritive value of real fruit beverages is far greater than of synthetic products which are at present being bottled and sold in large quantities through out the country. If real fruit juice could be substituted for these synthetic preparation, it would be a boom to the consumer as well as the fruit grower. There is, therefore, great scope in the country for the production of fruit juices and other fruit-based beverages. When the rapid progress in fruit farming that has taken place during the last two decades fresh fruit juices, like orange, pine apple, apple, etc. are being increasingly sold by vendors in some of the larger town. The demand for fresh fruit juice is on the increase but these cannot be had easily, when the fruit are out of season. Fruit juices have, therefore, to be preserved in a form in which they can be made available to the public during the off season.

LIME PUTTY
The lime making process consists of the burning of calcium and/or magnesium carbonates at and to obtain the derived oxide (CaCO3. CaO+CO2). For some processes significantly higher burning temperatures are necessary, for example dead-burned dolomite. The calcium oxide product from the kiln is generally crushed, milled and/or screened before being conveyed to silo storage. From the silo, the burned lime is either delivered to the end user for use in the form of quicklime, or transferred to a hydrating plant where it is reacted with water to produce hydrated or slaked lime.

T M T STEEL BARS
Under thermo mechanical treatment (TMT), the steel bars are passed through a specially designed water-cooling system where they are kept till the outer surface of the bars becomes colder while the core remains hot. This creates a temperature gradient in the bars. When the bars are taken out of the cooling system, the heat flows from the core to the outer surface, further tempering of the bars, which helps them attain a higher yield strength. The resulting heat-treated structure imparts superior strength and toughness to the bars. The microstructure of the core is a very fine-grained ferrite and pearlite. TMT bars are also known as quenched and tempered rebars, because of the quenching and tempering processes involved in making the bars.

Castor oil obtained by a combination of pressing and extraction from the seeds of the castor oil plant (Ricinus communis) consists of upto 90% of triglyceride of ricinoleic acid, 12 hydroxy oleic acid. The hydroxyl number of castor oil is 161-169. The component glycerides of castor oil (% mole) comprise saturated-diricinoleins (7.3%) oleodiricinoleins (2.5%) Linoleo diricinoleins (13.4%), Dihydroxy Stearo diricinoldins (2%) Triricinolein (74.8%). More important the nondrying ricinoleic acid in the castor oil can be dehydrated to give a drying oil i.e. dehydrated castor oil. This drying oil is formed by heating castor oil under reduced pressure of 240260oC in the pressure of 0.1-0.2 wt.% of an acid catalyst e.g. H2SO4, phophoric acid, or acidic salts with the elimination of water from ricinoleic acid. yielding a mixture of 9,11 and 9,12 octadecadienoic acids, called dehydrated castor oil acid. However, the degree of conjugation in this reaction is h i g h e r, u p t o 6 5 % c o n j u g a t e d octadecadienoic acid.

Zinc compounds are numerous and are widely used. Perhaps most important is zinc oxide (ZnO), a versatile compound with many uses. Other zinc compounds include zinc chloride, used as a wood preservative, in soldering fluxes, as a mordant in dyeing textiles, and in adhesives and cements; and zinc sulphide, used in making lithopone, as well as television screens and X-ray apparatus. Organic accelerators almost always need activators to achieve the highest efficiency in sulphur vulcanization. The most important activator is zinc oxide, which is used in nearly every rubber compound. Zinc oxide is an effective vulcanization activator of very fine particle size and suitable for rubber and latex products based on natural and synthetic polymers.

ALUMINIUM FABRICATION (DOORS, WINDOWS, SLIDER ETC), GLASS PLANT AND ANODIZING
Doors, windows slider, skylites and other fabricated items etc are essential components of all types of buildings residential, commercial and industrial. House building has been a need and beautifying the buildings has been a love for mankind since time immemorial. Doors are used for providing entrances from outside into the building and for inter room connections for easy approach. Ventilators are provided for sun rays and light, into the dwelling houses, in sufficient quantity. Windows play larger roles in the entire building construction for enhancing the utility of the house. Windows are provided in building walls in as many number as possible. This is so because windows serve in a lot many ways. Most of the air passage takes place through these windows. Similarly, light and sun rays get entry through windows quite freely. Windows provide cross ventilation in many cases. All these conditions are essential for human conforts. Outsiders enter into the house through the doors but the doors are opened after looking at the entrance through windows and after ascertaining that the outsider could be allowed to enter.

SODIUM SILICATE
Sodium silicate, also known as water glass or liquid glass, available in aqueous solution and in solid form, is a compound used in cements, passive fire protection, refractories, textile and lumber processing. Sodium silicates are solids where the proportion between silicon, oxygen and sodium determines what will be the resulting silicate(s). They are based on the silicone atom ability to coordinate four oxygen atoms in a tetraeder. Sodium silicates, popularly called water glass or soluble glass, are generally classified according to their SiO2, Na2O ratio, which varies between 0.5 and 4 and with various proportions of water based upon this ratio, a series of compounds are known ranging in properties from strongly alkaline to nearly neutral, and from crystalline, to glassy solids, to viscous liquids. The important silicates are sodium orthosilicate, Na4SiO4, Sodium metasilicate (Na2SiO3) and their hydrates, and sodium sequisilicate (Na6Si2O7) and their hydrates.
