Case:
A vague case about 4 prospective employees. Interview panel consists of 5

members. There goal is to choose one of the 4 candidates. Data given was quite
vague. No Idea what job profile they were offering.
My contribution was very little. It was a high volume discussion.
5 mins to Read case, 16 mins to discuss and 5 mins To summarize.
PI
Well the same panel as the one for Case. @ guys one mid 20's (P1) and other mid
30's(P2).
When I knocked the door to enter the room, the panel was scolding the people
serving snacks. I did not take my chair immediately. Once they were done, I asked
for permission and sat down.
The panel was very happy to finally see a mechanical Engineer. I was the 7th guy to
be interviewed.
P1: So Mr. Rahul u r a mechanical engg.
M : Yes Sir,
P1: I will give u a metal sheet do some test on it.
This one lasted for almost 2-3 mins with me screwing it up big time.
P1: name the test on metal sheet.
Some Q on ceramics.
Don't u know ur basics, ur just 16 months out of college.
No sir have not been in touch with most of the subjects.
Tell me 2 fav. Subjects

When I mentioned them he said they are too basic and moved on.
Now P2
took over and asked me about my family business.
P2. at what temp do they keep Ice creams.
How does refrigerator work
Tell something about ice cream management.
Write some equation from heat transfer.
It was no for most of the answers.
Was feeling whether the interview was a technical interview.
Did not answer most questions but kept smile on my face throughout the discussion.
Finally they said some thing about entrepreneurs not requiring MBA ,
That is it that was my interview. I told them that I have not prepared the basics.
Personally I felt it went very bad.

around. Cant lose his job 'coz of personal loans and daughter's education. Interviews
maya, laid off by a competitor, for a vacancy. at the end of the interview, she says

given the job. sandeep in a dilemma as to whether he should take maya.
