British Airways is applying and using two different ways while implementing the managerial judgment technique. These ways are top down approach and bottom up approach. In top down approach, its the responsibility of top level managers to predict that how many employees are needed in each department of the organization. After making these estimations, top level managers discuss and share these estimations with the head of each department and their sub- ordinates in order to analyze and find out that either there is any requirement of modification in these estimations of top level managers or not. In the second

approach, button up approach, supervisors estimate the demand of the employees in future by analyzing the work need and after that supervisor of each department or unit share and communicate these estimations with their heads and with the top level managers so that they can find out that there is any requirement of changes or not. After doing the proper evaluation, supervisors of every department forward these estimations to the head of the organization for future consideration. 2Delphi Technique British Airways is also using the Delphi technique for its HR planning.
