HerearesomelessonsweneedtolearnaboutTrueFasting: ItistheperiodtobeinGodspresencetolearnHiswords,listen to His commandments or instructions through the Holy Spirit (Act13:23;1Samuel3:10). ItistheperiodofreturningtoGod(revivalperiod)forcleansing, blessingandteachingusHisways.Hosea6:1saysComeletus returntoGod,itHewhohasturnsus,Hewillheal(revive)us. Itishealingperiodfromsickness,cursesandforGodtoresetus togloriousdefaultforms.Fastingoverhaulusandmakesusto beperfectimageofGod. ItistheperiodtodemonstrateGodslovetootherpeople:Give food,clothsandforgivetheirdebts. It is the period to seek Gods face (1 King 22:5 & 1 Chronicles 28:9)

There is the need for us to declare three days fasting and Prayer for World Peace and Global Economic revival
The year 2008 marked most remarkable global economic downturn in human history .Many global economic giant companies folded up coupledwithmassiveretrenchmentofworkersworldwide.Thereisthe fearthatyear2009maywitnessthemostawfuleconomicrecessionin humanhistoryanditcallsfordivineintervention. We know as children of God that the panacea to the global financial crisesiswithGod.WeneedtoreturntoGodinfastingandprayer.We needtorepentofoursinsofkillingofinnocentlivesinformofwarsand lack of not showing love to people dying of hunger and diseases .We need to ask for forgiveness of our nations sin for promulgating laws thatareinvariancewiththeBible,anexampleisthesamesexmarriage. Weliveinworldwherepeoplearerulewithlawsthattheanimalsinthe animalkingdomwouldnotuseonthefellowanimals.Weliveinaworld wherenationsaredrunkwithintoxicantoftechnologicalachievements rathershowingGodslovetomankind.Thereisthefearthatworldhas most go to state of annihilation because several billion of dollars are spenttodevelopweaponsofmassdestructioninsteadofsupportingthe gospelandfeedingthepoor. The occurrences of Tsunamis, earthquake, fire outbreaks, dreaded diseases and economic downturn in the world are clear cases that require us to return to God .I am a scientist with doctorate degree in Mathematicsandwithresearchinterestinmathematicalmodelingand simulation;Iknowthatsciencemayoffersomesolutionstotheglobal problemsbutcannotcomprehensivelyprovidemostenduringsolutions. TheactivecomponentforfindingsolutionstoproblemsisKnowledge.It isGodwhocangivethetrueknowledgeandwisdomthatwouldsolve worlds challenging problems. Therefore, the antidotes for global financial crisis are found in 2 Chronicle 7:14, Jeremiah 33:3 & Isaiah 58:614.We need to return to God our maker through repentance, fastingandprayeranddepartfromourevilways. 2
