Definition DALI Command LumiSense is a luminaire-based control system designed to be integrated into luminaires in order to add control functions with no additional installation wiring. The luminaire must be equipped with a DALI(Digital Addressable Lighting Interface-) compatible ballast. Description The heart of the system is a DALI-compatible controller and sensor that contains a movement detector, light sensor and infrared receiver in addition to the DALI controller. The control response (lighting effect) from these sensors can be altered using an infrared programming tool to suit the needs of the user. In addition, the end-user can manually adjust lighting levels using a simple twobutton infrared transmitter. Applications The main application for LumiSense luminaires is in offices requiring adjustable and flexible lighting control with automatic energy saving. LumiSense is ideal for refurbishment as it can be installed without changing or adding to existing wiring. It is also a low installation cost option for new lighting schemes.
